D drumandbass New member May 21, 2009 #102 just a quick question, for a custom bass, say "diy" Is it better to go for SX and mod the parts, eg. bridge pickups tuners.. blabla. or go for warmoth and custom there. THANKS

A ahkiatt New member May 22, 2009 #103 If you're on a tight budget, I'd suggest SX, but if you're going for fully custom(i.e. fancy body, fancier neck with custom specs), go warmoth. I'm getting the SX purely for the solid alder body and maple neck. Modifying the heck out of the rest.
