SX 5 string. Rondo or dodgy China website

I'm getting a new 5 string SX to tinker around with. And of course, being the cheapo Singaporean that I am.

Should I:
Get from Davis
Get from Rondo
Get from dodgy China website(suggestions required)

id think you should get from davis, but i dont know if they have 5ers.
if you get from rondo the shipping would be expensive if you'd pay it alone.

You may have yours by now. I've got a couple of SX's, and they are not bad after setting them up. My 62 jazz SX rivals my '72 jazz that I bought in '72!

I got mine from Rondo.

I'm across the pond, and Kirt does good business here -- too good to be true in fact. Nonetheless, they are nicely done.

i've asked Davis if they could ship in SXes for customers from Rondo. they said no.

I got an sx 75J bass and aguile guitar from Rondo. I would recommend it. The quality is good for the money. But you need a set up. The wood is for real (ash...alder) and the pick ups are decent.

its getting harder to find dealers who are obliging in taking orders

setup is no big issue, guitars that are shipped usually leave without being set up. this is to prevent the item from being damaged upon arrival

can just set it up yourself...no big deal. i'll probably be getting an SX fretless sometime in the near future for fun.

i wonder if Brendon will bring in SX stuff. probably the cheapest he'll ever order.
