hi SOFTies, i propose that the first gathering to be a BBQ at East Coast. if the response from the first gathering is good, we will plan other bigger gatherings like chalet, camps ...

Its just a one night thing. per night rates are 70 bucks on a weekday.
So another option can be do do it on a week night....

Maybe a thurdays... or a webdnesday ? maybe to break the drugery of a boring work week ?

Then bring acoustic stuffs along. Bring whatever fun stuffs you guys want. We will be playing soccer or other ball sports so don't bring your $1k Soloman shoes .

well for BBQ food, have a very good shop at geylang lor27, just 2 mins walk from aljunied mrt. cheap and nice and good. stuff that need to be marinated ARE marinated.

you can try this place. they cater most raw bbq food, and also utensils as well. i find the food not bad though. they have assorted otahs range from 25 cents to 80 cents each. the place is located near to aljunied mrt station. Free delivery above $150

you hunted quite a few suppliers there. just to say that Soon Lee Heng sells great satay. i've ordered from them before, and everyone of my guests enjoyed their tasty juicy satay, but, they were not 'halal' then. i do not know if they are now.
so, just to say that whoever is ordering satays, (ie. if we are still having them), he's gotta check with the supplier if they are "halal". :wink:

It'd be quite amusing if we just went there with nothing and ordered 10 large pizzas and still attmpt to BBQ them even though they're ready to eat. Then as a sign of softy unity, we throw all our guitars into the fire just for kicks and really do some soulful bonding later when we reflect on how we just tossed away thousands of dollars of hard earned money in the spur of the moment.
