Should I get another guitar or..?

i'd get another guitar for a diff tone, i guess...
that way you can find different sound and instead of having the same old ones......

just imho, if you like your strat, but want more variety of sound from it, find someone who can wire up this circuit for you.

You can get 22 different variations of pickup combination. The series mode will get you any of the 2 pickups in series or entire 3 pickup in series. While it might not be like the real humbucker. But what you get will be a strat tone thats louder and fatter sounding. It goes well with distortion/fuzz, imho

Hehe thanks for the input, guys..went to swee lee jus now..n I tried the epi les paul standard..wow wat a nice sound n sustain..think I`ll get another guitar..the LP!! Hahahaha..:p

I wonder if there are any cheap, good brands of les paul besides epiphone?

I was told the Epiphone is actually quite decent for its price... Think I'd saw a LP copy courtesy of Hamer at CityMusic.

By the way, you're going the budget way it seems? I think saving up could do wonders for you.

Fazial, if you really wanna move on to another guitar, seriously consider saving up.

It takes time it takes more money but...

A good guitar, what's going to beat a good guitar?

Regardless of price you pay, when you buy a GOOD guitar, its up there, its in your hands, its a piece of wood waiting to come alive.

When an okay guitar meets a GOOD guitar, what happens? The difference can be painfully obvious.

I find it so... almost silly when people buy guitar after guitar, but all of them are like beginner guitars. Its a waste of $! And its guitar after guitar after guitar...

All i've said - its like a duh thing - right? So if its duh... and you have time, I mean, who doesn't have time?, save up.

I did just that... saved up for my custom and its done and it bleeds tone. Erm. Yeah.

I agree with Shreddy, save up and take ur time trying them out. When u've got abt 1k+, get a jap copy or an Orville, hub4thailand is selling a nice piece in the Buy/Sell forums for 1.1k, a very decent price, almost a steal. For an Orville. Better craftsmanship than most Epis(Orvilles are all MIJ if i'm not wrong) and nicer tone, they're older guitars. Its up 2 ur personal taste tho, if u prefer an Epi, go 4 it. Trust ur ears.

+1 for shreddy. its pointless to keep buying guitars when they are all of the same mediocre quality. better to save and buy 1 good one.

for Les Paul type guitars (in the mean time), Edwards gets my vote 8)

but but what if you're into quirky guitars like me?? ahahaha...

no lah listen to them. get a nice one and gas for more. you'll end up playing one guitar most of the time.
