seventheaven

If you play loud.....its metal aye! up your A**!

But seriously ah, if you plan to run the seventheaven into a small little 10 watt amp, don expect too much..... as it would be with any other pedal.... tho must say it still makes my 10 watt amp sound huge....with some careful tweaking! I think my poor little peavey backstage is being pushed a little too hard.....will try it with my blackheart toob amp later.

I guess if you can play heavy metal ...it's pretty much there aye

......

It also know for metal playas to utilize either a high output or active pick up or boosting the front end of their "metal amp" ....do the same with 7th ;)

I agree with this.

The 7th alone may not deliver tight old school death metal tone but throw in a typical cuts-bass dirt pedal (SD1, TS9, etc etc) and the 7th tightens into a devastating monster of a dirt pedal.

Also, running it on higher voltages tightens it up considerably but you lose some saturation (YES, I SAID IT!) because of the higher headroom.

Then again, what's metal isn't necessarily 100% in the sound... its also in the playing.

Maybe "hype" in a positive sense?

There's no hype here I hope.

Hype has become a bad word... hahaha... and I think the last thing we need is for someone to purchase the 7th and expect it to brilliantly reproduce tones that it wasn't conceived for in the first place.

Ha ha yesterday Ized palyed a couple of metal riff and my second daughter was doin that metal air guitar thing ....aiyooo :)

Sorry but I do mean hype in a positive way. Good to see that the pedal is versatile and well liked in here. Gotta try it someday.

My dictionary's definition of "hype": "to create interest by flamboyant or dramatic methods"

So hype backed up with true claims and substance = good hype

Examples of good hype:-

"JUST DO IT" - Cool slogan by Nike

Hot babes draped across F1 racers

"Seventheaven" - Can't remember who named his product like that... must be my neighbourhood durian seller...

Those babes after F1 might proly be jobless ....mmm...good idea Josh.

been following the thread. Nobody mention price. How much is it?

With the limitation of it being single ended ... nothing much actually:mrgreen:
Some throw in orange drop caps and call it "the mod" ...like thats gonna do something?!
Then we have the pregain pimped with + tube adding for more preamp gain.
Adding preamp gain isn't the way to go for the pedal 'jocks' as you get mush. Nice pushed with TS type or clean boost ...nothing more.
The most popular being the "iron" mod having both PT and OT + choke replaced with Mecury Magnetics. < bam ...thats expansive!!

so it all depends...what you want ?!

OK... get back to topic:twisted:

Yeah.. Saw that mod before.. BitMo mods are more affordable IMO..

Alamak.. $270SGD for the Killer Ant.. At the NAMM show it had a suggested retail price of 120USD..

Ok ok.. Back to topic! Seventheaven rocks my socksssssssss off!!! And I still haven't tried it.. :(
