wahhh ... also thanks for the GE7 deal Thor666 ..
damn shiok ~!

i thought of getting the GT2 lastime coz ...
i couldnt fine tune certain aspects of my sound ...
den with the GE7 ...
dun need to get liao ... ~

but ,.. i think ... when i got the $ ...
it might be something i'd like to own once in this lifetime ~

I got the TRI AC. Its analog but you can save your settings to the 3 switches.

And it's about $30 more expensive than a gt2. A better deal with a greater control.

ahhh... poo... i don't think the TRI AC has more control... the GT2 still has mic and mod toggle switches.. which give it a lot of colour. The exclusion of a mid control... well.. it ain't THAT bad! ;)

hehe nebo - if u're happy with ur current pedal setup, i can assure u that u don't need the GT2 at all. 8)

go aim for a good axe... or a bigger amp man... your sound will totally sound different with different speaker sizes man. :D

I personally feel otherwise  The mid control is the most important to be. The exclusion of it in the GT2 made me feel like a helpless animal heh.

i heard they can use this for PA and recording...

if getting this would it be ok to get another pedal like maybe the ds1 for different sound?

Heh. Well.
I don't see why you would need a DS-1 if you got a TRI AC or GT2... unless you really like the DS1 tone.

Rem that the TRI AC and GT2 are amp modellers. They have a HUGE amount of tweakability to them... you can get a lot of tones.

that's cool! but what i'm afraid again is switching from chords to solos, since u cant save it...but then again, maybe a booster or something else for solos?

This is what u could do. Setup ur clean sound using the amp. Tweak the GT2 or whichever distortion pedal for ur heavy sound based on that clean sound. Then stick a booster or EQ pedal in the efx loop for solo boost.

A clean boost in the efx loop would give u more volume, without too much alteration to how much "drive" u have.

what so i can play the normal dist. thru the GT2 but connect like a booster to it so that i can play solos?

if so how do i connect it?

guitar-->GT2--->amp<---booster???

amp input to booster? or booster into amp efx in?

what if my amp dun have efx in? can use like footswitch or headphone in?

Tany, what fretless is suggesting is.. run your gtr to gt2 to amp. Then in the amp's efx loop, throw in the booster. Thats where you want the boost... AFTER your distortion and what not from the GT2.

If you don't have an efx loop, then just make sure the booster is after the GT2. Gtr -> GT2 -> booster --> amp/PA/Hi Fi/Speakers/PC

;)

ok wat if i want to add on other pedals like chorus, flanger, delay, wah for next time? how would i connect?

Wah works best before distortion stage. Modulation (e.g. chorus, flanger) and ambient (e.g. reveb, delay) effects works best after distortion stage.

Personally I keep the signal chain like this.

Gtr --> wah --> distortion --> amp <--> efx loop (booster -> modulation --> ambient)

If there's no effects loop, put the mod and amb efx after ur distortion pedals.
