damn i almost get con by him too. SMS him 2 weeks ago on the Epi silverburst limited edition... i was wondering at $800 brand new its too good to be true oh well it is after all lucky i was held up by appoitment or else i intended to visit him to test the guitar.

People like him just deserves to burn and rot. Trying to scam others for the sake of money, it's just low. I hope James tracks his ip and stops him from registering an account here. Also, informing the other local forums about him would be a good way of preventing him from scamming other people.

heh, i guess for most if not all, prolly wont be too concern whether is the hard case real.

Coz if anyone is spending that amount of money, be it, 80, 800 or 8000 for a fake guitar, even if the case is real, it still doesnt/should not take away the focus and issue on hand, aka the guitar is fake and not worth that kinda money.

Haha, it will be really funny if anyone who bought the guitar and to realise that they got a fake one, but able to console themselves, hey, at least i got a real case..

*edit: real gibson has 2 truss rod cover screws, fake gibson has 3 screws - sorry got mixed up*

funny thing is that fake gibson and fake epiphone costs the same

there's a lot of subtle differences.. esp. in the hardware. yes there are also fake hardcases.. those china factories can fake anything.. see the sites i posted a few pages back

another thing is that they almost always have the same serial number as they copy blindly from photos of the originals

It's scary how the Epiphone was such a good copy. Even the plastic pick up shields are quite accurate.
