PSA: guy selling china fake PRS

woah scammer in the guitar buy/sell section, con teacher on the loose, amazing.

Seriously i hope the mods do something about it. I would rather have these jokers banned than take a chance for new forumers to ask the old ones before they buy anything.

Anyone remember the fake gibson es335 a few months back? That case became a mess.

As many forumites have mentioned i do hope the mods have recognised the feedback of majority to ip ban such people, and on a side note i do wish the ' Dealers to beware of' thread by DJ thugs be stickied or at least be paid more attention to.

Thanks.

probably so, especially since Epiphone is basically "budget" version of Gibson. People will definately try to pull a few stunts so perhaps this is one way of telling them apart

Seriously i hope the mods do something about it.

we are keeping watch 8-) sometimes we don't tell we are doing so... he he... James is actively looking into the matter. it becomes tedious when they come back with a different account, etc...

Definitely fakes. The Epiphone Black Beauty has different tone/volume knobs then the one that he's advertising.

It's a pity he's not showing the headstocks of the guitar. If not we'll know whether it's real or not at a glance

To elijah_kai , please get your facts right before posting your opinion here. Reason is because what you are stating here is very misleading and totally disrespectful towards all fellow softies. Do take note that this forum have so many members and as a business, how can I afford such unfounded accusations?

Because of your act, can you imagine how much damages I have to endure?

Please take note that this is a libel issue and I can sue you for that.

Please also take note that I clearly states the origin of my product, price and condition.

If for any reason anyone doubt the products I'm offering here, please come personally and test, see, touch, feel, play, question me before posting any harmful comments here.

To elijah_kai, did you even ask me or test the guitars for yourself first before posting such narrow minded opinion of what you think, or "suspect"?

To all, the pics on my website are taken from manufacturers websites or google images under search term. I'm sorry if some pics looks like fake products to you. I overlooked this and am currently working towards posting all original pictures on the site. If you need me to send original pics to me, kindly email me at joshguitars@gmail.com and i response to you asap.

Phase I, it is good that you have spoken up and clarified about the guitars. I do hope that what you're selling is really the genuine. Please do not feel offended by elijah_kai.
We had people selling fake guitars on SOFT before and some of these people have been very daring and upfront about their goods. Naturally, people would be a little suspicous with new business selling guitars online, as they do not know whether they are getting the real deal or not.

However, as I've pointed out, the Epiphone Les Paul Black Beauty is has different tone/volume knobs. I am not sure about the other guitars though

It would be good if you could post up your own photos of the products you are selling as well. A picture of the whole guitar would be good, not just the body. This would also include the headstock since most fakes have different headstocks.
A bit troublesome, I know. But this is to clear all doubts and ensure that what you're selling is the genuine goods.

Lastly, welcome to SOFT, and I hope that your business is successful

Phase I, why not just post the original photos then, problem solved... no worries if the guitars are all good and authentic.

btw don't mind me saying, but the guys from Red Dot Music, BGW and Blackwood are great to deal with, and I've never heard them threaten legal action against people here. Its just not good PR, and can't be good for business either.

Anyway, welcome to SOFT and all the best for your business, we'll try to forget the libel thing!

Thank you for the support. A libel case is the last thing on my mind cos we are all musicians here and the reason why we are all here on this site besides love and respect for one another is because we all have something to share with one another.

However, it would be foolish to endure false accusations based loosely on one's opinion with potential of causing damages to another's reputation, especially when business is at stake. For that, I would not tolerate.

Having said that, let bygones be bygones and let us all forget about this unhappy incident.

I look forward to welcoming you to try out my guitars/guitar accessories.

Have a Merry Christmas and rock on!
