PSA: guy selling china fake PRS

Don't flame him first lah...Maybe he also kana cheated and dunno what he is selling?
For a guitar that supposedly worth 16K going for sale at 8K? It's hard to believe he is that ignorant. Plus there is too much money at stake to be that ignorant. Sorry, it doesn't add up.

This andyng has posted several posts before. By the way, is this a new tactic by scammers nowadays? Instead of signing a new account and hit the buy/sell section straight away, they now participate briefly in discussions so as to "cosy up" with others...before pulling the con trigger. Just wondering. ;)

Id buy it for $150 if its really fake. but how can u tell from the pics? looks good to me.

i believe the community here is rather vigilant in keeping this at bay, in its various ways, subtle or otherwise...

True that, but its the new people that join us who may not be so vigilant. If they don't do their research properly (threads like these are also considered as research in my opinion), we may have violent bloodbaths

hes epiphone les paul silver burst seems to be at an attractive price.
fake also?

guys... click here to see fakes of every branded guitar imaginable.

http://www.myeglobal.com/Product/C29272/Electric.html

from fake epiphones to custom shop gibsons and private stock prs'..

i'm 99% sure that guy gets all his guitars from one of these sites.

more fake guitar companies here:

http://www.paylessguitar.com.cn

http://www.musoland.com.cn/

these guitars are only made to look like the real thing. apart from that, they are made from coffin wood, painted with poisonous lead paint, and have cheap pot metal parts.

the sad thing is that it is easy for newbies to be fooled into paying real deal prices for them, it takes some experience handling and playing the real ones - then you can feel its a fake right away

Heads up guys, he replied me by saying

"I'm a musician myself and I bought this from a friend from America who got it there. Please do not accuse me of my good intentions."

Yup, hope everyone is aware of his "good intentions".

Great job Benster, pointing this out right away from the pictures while i had to do a more subtle route to check him out! Nonetheless, i'm glad we're here looking out for each other.

Bob

I decided to message him. He told me the price was 3.8k!!!!!! That's a huge drop. I asked him if got any authentification. He said he got certificate. Haha . ask him where he buy, no reply. Sad case

thanks Bob :)
the fake grovers (that come on most of the china fakes) are a dead giveaway.. PRS never uses grovers. the sheer (lack of) quality of the finishing is very apparent. lack of private stock case and cert as well. and.. PRS Private stock serial numbers are well into the 1000's now.. #65 would have been a very early piece.

wow u really do know ur stuff. on the other hand, a noob like me really couldn't have tell that it's fake. good to have u guys around. learning new things everyday!

Maybe he realized that people are watching him so he decided to tell everyone
that it has been sold as an excuse to take down his ad and remove his avatar.

I agree with fox lady. Okay I think sometimes he sells his guitars at guitar4christ.com so if he still sell there means he lying.

item sold, we are too late !
In another words...evidence removed. LOL. :)

I think this guy is gonna create a new account. zzz. he even removed his avatar.
I suspect this guy has already been lurking here for sometime, occasionally selling China fakes under different usernames. "Andy Ng" is definitely not his name and the avatar photo must be copied from elsewhere. I pity the dude whose face got "stolen".
