Poor Attitude at Some Shop

:(Today I had went over to Penisular and asked about the price of the bass neck at Guitar Connection Ptd Ltd. Here is the conversation

Me: erm, may i know how much is the price of this bass neck
(one silve gold hair uncle come out)
Uncle: $1000 plus, you got money? or u want a hundred plus one? What kind of neck you want
Me:I am not sure yet I just come over to check out the price so i can get it next time
Uncle shouted: u no money don's say so much, u check already then come if not get out!

So is this the attitude that I should get?
I seriously very upset about this matter.

Nope, that's not the attitude you should get. But that's their attitude. You can't change their attitude by starting a thread here... Just accept it or try to give feedbacks to them directly...

i know what you mean but when he reply like that i was like wat thee..
because i did not think that the uncle will reply this way

but horh , i go there i asked about stuffs i also kena the same thing . Same uncle somemore. Wao lao eh bad service

It's how you phrase your feedback... yeah..

I went to ask this guy who was smoking inside the small space, about floyd rose routing.. he wasnt impatient... he was okay with me.. but i did have a bad experience with them though..

Hey man i had a similar experience in that shop too but not one thats so bad. I have a feeling it was the same guy who gave me the attitude. I dont think any sale person should treat a customer badly regardless of whether he is having a bad day. Why? Because customer service is part of your job.
This is what happened:
I was looking for a guitar and was actually being served by a really nice sales man. A young chap with floppy center parted hair. I was trying the guiar at a low level with the amp set at 3 (Solid state yamaha mod amp i think its 60 watts). Point is it wasnt loud as i was having a conversation with the sales man. In comes another guy (matching ur Description)(I know his name and status in the shop and all but i wont say it) and just turns down my volume to 1 and says its too loud in a rather paternalistic manner.
Thats fine i say, i told the nice salesman that its cool.
I later returned the guitar to the other gentleman and asked him if the guitar came with a hardcase. He 1) just took the guitar 2) said yes 3) Kinda snubbed and scoffed at me and brought the guitar in.
Well he must have taught that i wasnt buying. Well too bad i was which is why i spent time in the shop trying it right? But its cool i procured a similar guitar from Japan for a slightly higher price as i cant stand such an attitude.
I think people deserve courtesy and that even if u have a difficult customer deal with him nicely. It is part of your job or why u are in the business of selling things.

Kudos however for the guy with the floppy center parted hair, ur a great salesman and i wished that i only dealt with you that day.

bad shop

i also kana same thing..plus he kept stare at me the previous time..i was like what the hell~~ my friend said that their price items
are above average and i wonder if that is true lei since i got pissed off and nvr go to the shop again~~

the center parted guy who wear specs? ya, he is a nice guy, or should i say the only nice guy in the shop...nice guy to talk to about stuffs..

I've got worse than that, no rudeness by the uncle. but pure dishonesty by the shop owner. quite disgusted with that and i know ill never buy from GC again.

Just incase softies are wondering who i m talking about and i dont really wanna incriminate an innocent party. I got it from the owner.

my friend went to gc with another friend of mine, he wanted to test a guitar out, he asked the owner and the owner looked at him from head to toe and said, NO.

He can't accept it that's why he started a thread to complain.
anyway, with his shite attitude I predict softies won't enter/buy stuff from GC.
Not as in completely but will try their best to prevent themselves from getting shite service from them.
You get what you deserve beb. CUSTOMER comes first even if he's having a bad day and being RUDE your own customer can't be accepted, even if he's joking.
kudos to the other kind salesman.

GC must be one of the worst shops in excelsior. They are still running the business like in the 70s where bad customer service is the norm. I always get the impression that they will rip you off if you dont know your stuff. Who wants to do business with people like that?

The prices for some of their new items are so high its ridiculous (at least to me). You could get the same thing on ebay or other online shops for significantly less. They are still dreaming that there is no internet and that ignorant kids will go there and buy those products. The sad fact is that there are still ignorant people who do and thats why they are still in business.

And sometimes the people they employ hardly know anything about their products and give you some kind of attitude when you ask about a product. My thinking is "Hey look, I'm the customer and am entitled to ask questions. Even if I ask a silly question, you either put up with it or else get out of retail". Lots of customers ask silly questions before making a purchase anyway.

Well, you pay peanuts and you gets monkeys.
