Ibanez RG2027VV Prestige

this particular guitar was made between 2000 & 2001 and was discontinued due to poor sales. strange considering the fact that this was the only mahogany body RG7 with piezo apart from the more expensive RG7CST.

got this for a steal due to the condition. overall an extremely good guitar for doing crushing riffs and acoustic-ish stuff.

the previous owner did some sort of petrucci mod on it.

nothing beats the feel of an oiled neck :D.

might throw in a set of Dimarzio LiquiFire7 and Dimarzio Crunch Lab7. problem now is where to find them at a cheaper price haha.

Nice RG 2027!

I have the RG 2020 and been looking for the 7 string version. Where did you get yours bro??

got it from my friend 'lucky' on this forum. I bought many guitars from him. he knows what guitars I'm interested in & updates me quite frequently on what he has. he is located in Jakarta.

That Goodall is giving me tingles. Every Goodall that I have tried at GG is amazing, I'm sure yours is too.

yeah man, never intended to buy one, but couldnt leave the shop without one also, had to sell a whole lot of stuff plus a few months of army pay just to afford it. but id do it again in a blink of an eye for another goodall.

My custom 60s-like Tele... Allparts TRO rosewood neck and Mighty Mite ash body were used. Along with Tonerider Hot Classics pickups..might swap them out for something vintage sounding in the future...but for now, it sounds great in clean and dirty :) This Tele is pretty heavy due to its ash body.

thought ash is supposed to be light. if theres anything i really like abt the tele, its the mint pickguard plus the rosewood board. thats just a class apart.

I was thinking the opposite. I always had the impression it was alder that was supposed to be denser than ash until I tried the ash Deluxe Strat at Swee Lee a few weeks back. It was lighter than the alder-bodied Deluxe Strat next to it. And by quite a bit as well, I might add.

I guess it boils down to the type of ash that they use on the body. From the ESP custom shop site, it lists two sorts of ash they use in their bodies, swamp and white ash. White ash apparently is the heavier of the two.

Actually swamp ash, hard ash ..whatever ash all the same ...

The harder, heavier ash usually comes from the bottom of the tree hence its older & denser ..

The lighter ash is from further up - obviously less older, less dense & lighter ....

However in my past expirience the heavier ash bodies produce a little better sustain & tone.

FOR MORE FATTER SOUNDING - YET VINTAGE SOUNDING PUPS TRY THESE:
