greetings everyone 8-)

this is the new photo album for our reference, it's not a show-off avenue, just sharing what we own in pictures. the posting rule is simple, make sure your pics are as small as possible & as big as necessary. you can post virtually any guitar-related possessions here, not just guitars.

I already posted in the old 2009 photo album but since its coming close to 2010, oh what the heck, will post again along with an additional pic.

My custom made Tele and Strat! Tele is made up of Eden neck (will be replacing with Allparts neck in the near future) and Eden alder body. Neck and body bought online. Pickups are Tonerider Hot Classics. Strat is made up of Allparts neck (bought online) and alder body bought from GC. Pickups are Tonerider City Limits.

Love them both for versatility.

Vox AC4TV amp and Danelectro Cool Cat Metal and Drive pedals! Simple setup, cos less is more :)

Actually this is the new batch from PGS, and the two channels are wired independently. Also, if you have an old one and are feeling up to a soldering job, there are Devi-written instructions on wiring it up to be independent:

hey faizal_rocks...is ur ac4tv a 8 or 10 inch combo?? hmmm btw how does the eden neck feel..as compared to fender necks?? was thinking of changing my fender neck =/

bf0502tr: Mines the 10 inch combo..well, the eden neck isn't too bad in terms of feel n playability, its just I find it a little thin for my taste since I'm already used to playing an Allparts neck on my Strat which was a bit fat, that I like....and the good thing is this is revised version of the previous ones, meaning this now has jumbo frets comapred to the last time which had small frets. Mine, originally, had a paddle headstock, which means not cut to strat or tele shape. When I ordered, I requested for a tele shape, right-handed style..n they did just that. Yup, its all custom order, whether u want strat or tele shape, lefty or right handed style, satin/poly finish on the neck...oh and the good thing is they have dot markers on both sides of the neck, so if u are right handed and wanna use a left handed style headstock (ala Hendrix), no problems..:) Not too bad, the neck cost me $82 sing incld shipping n custom work to the neck..depends on what fender neck ur talking about...wat fender neck are u using at the moment?

not sure i think its a 54 neck. its kinda fat lol. but i was thinking of getting a thinner neck but not too thin that it becomes another shredder neck but with tall frets.

Oic, then I think it would be best to scout around n have a feel of the necks on different Strats before ur absolutely sure u wanna swap out ur neck on ur current one :)

Guess what I PICKED UP in Japan?

FIRST GAS OF THE NEW YEAR!!!!!!!

Stumbled across these in Tokyo, and I really couldn't resist picking them up to try.

Considering these weren't exactly cheap, I'm very anxious to hear how they sound.

I never realised it, but these things (a set of 2) cost as much as a Lollar set!:wow:

They had the USA wound versions in stock too, but at $500USD a pop, I really don't want to have to pay for a gamble. Since these are half the price of the USA ones, I thought it might be worth checking out first. If they are indeed that good, then one can only wonder what the USA ones are like...

The shop guy (actually, guys, cos more than one attested to this) that they were the perfect tonal replicas of the USA made ones. I can appreciate how anal the Japanese are, and knowing them, these would definately be no slackers on their own, but perfect replicas? I'm witholding judgement for now until I get them fitted. Hopefully I don't botch the installation when I do it myself.

I do know that there are Tokai LP guitars on sale at Ikebe that come with these stock fitted, and are quite pricey, but well received. I wrangled my way out of the store so I wouldn't end up buying another LP and lugging it home, so I didn't stop to try those. Wish I did in retrospect though.
