ha ed, the modulation before dirt is for fellas who want it subtle effect just like just modulation into an overdriven amp so not much coloration but just the effect
EVH was phase 90 before amp drive I think?
Hendrix had univibe both before and after fuzz, switched around during his career.
My board is basically drive->volume->delay->modulation
How you place the modulations before/after each other is fun stuff. The phaser before the filter is surreal, and the tremolo before the filter makes it go wak wak wak wak wak
The reason why I didn't like chorus before drive was because of the LFO (is that what its called?) ticking sound that comes thru when playing with higher gain. Otherwise, I would have preferred chorus before drive too...
And phasers before drive = more subtle and more dynamic. I can do pseudo wah-age with the phaser then. Putting it after, its... too much...
That said... delay after chorus, after dirt. Envelope Filters before drive. those was what works for me...
Yup, Shredcow...placement does matter but I'm more of a conventional guy where the modulations are after the drives, but will probably experiment to see if the sequence between the modulation pedals themselves show a huge difference first before deciding how to fuse them in what sequence
Suddenly arranging pedals feel like cooking! :lol:
Dude, gearwire.com just did a video of the micro line stereo electric mistress. They say it does Flanging and Chorus, AT THE SAME TIME. Just what you're looking for
