What do y'all think of the peavey transtube series rage 158?

Is it good for home use/practice? and yeah,I just made this thread to collect information and to decide.

If you know anything about it,just put it up. The pros and cons. Anything about the amp and if there are better amps, tell me.

Thanks in advance.

ahhh... peavey rage.... damn... what i had was the 108. first amp. bought used. hated it. HATE. HATE. HATE. Stab. Kill. HATE.

Peavey Rage108.

sorry if this ain't helping.

the rage 158 is good for home practise. btw, is it the 258 with the reverb?

other than that, well, not much other application cept home practise and maybe small solo sets.

the the distortion channel sounds quite good.

due to its small driver size, it can't chug as well as 10" or 12" models.

well, urmm thanks..I needed opinions anyways..cause thinking of changing from Behringer GM 108 to that Peavey..think it's a good change?

I'd take the bandit 112. That's a nice sounding Peavey... Just about the ONLY ncie sounding one I've heard so far, aside from the 5150... heh.

i'd say go for the MG15MSII 8)

the Peavey Rage was my first amp- a fairly good one for practice but it has neither a fantastic clean nor commanding drive to keep me playing on.

I have a Blazer 158, not sure if it's the same as the rage's tone, but I like it. It's distortion channel is terribly weak though, so I don't use it at all.

I use it as a poweramp for my podxtlive, a special formula I've just discovered recently.

Rimuel uses the blazer too, with distortion pedals. The stock distortion is just crappy.

i think the ministack does sound very good too, even though its 10" speaker equipped, but there are 2 of them:)
the one at ebenex made me think like that...

$300?! wow! that's a quite a brilliant price!
damn..thanks..

anymore recommendations?
A roland cube does seem really good when I tried it at Swee Lee.
