Militant escape- Security in S'pore?

I think the government would rather let this happen.....than having him escaped right under their nose which has already made them look very stupid!

No offense to anybody in the civil service.
But this is like just a rant.
But everytime I listen to Power98, they keep promoting the force.
Be it the army navy or police. I feel like I'm listening to lies about
this super efficient "force". About how its so well integrated and
advanced. How its so perfect, that they got all the bases covered
from the military defense, civil, economic, psycological.
Well maybe its not bad, quite good lah. compared to alot of other countries.
But I can't pretend like those "selected" candidates that say only the
nice stuff on TV when interviewed. I know they're trying to use the media
to make everyone feel safe. But it just makes me feel like I'm being lied to like a kid.
Yeah seems like the matter is dying out.
can't seem to pin-point it to any particular person/sector, but my faith
is also like abit dying already. feeks Like singapore aint that beautiful
like it used to be.

Bro seekz: I get what u mean totally. But come on, Singapore has always been full of shit like that. Even in our shows, like heartlanders, that civil defence show i think its called lifeline, and the latest and to me the most RIDICULOUS "En Bloc". Through media for eg local tv and radio, the govt propagates what they want us to think of our country. This to me has So many bad points, but yet i cant deny that there are good points as well. so yea.. im not too shocked or anything

yes the system may be at fault, the people are who work for the system are worse, people like you and me. Obviously it seems like not many of us take our national defence seriously. look at the CNA reports on tv, look at how the security forces just allow several vehicles to go through , without doing any form of checks, just eye power the whole time. and how they need 1 platoon to comb a really really small area of a few trees..

Perhaps Mas selamat is fighting for the freedom of others. Which obviously, hardly anyone supports.

Can you imagine if Mas Selamat was known to be armed? We'd all have curfews. Shops would end early. School would probably start at 9 and end at like 12. Parents finish work at 1.
Then have all these troops patrolling your area. If you need something from the shop, too bad for you.

i disagree, the david tan fella who escaped from mandai camp took out a rifle into the streets... that one oso nobody was warned. they took abit longer to cover their ass but at least they succeeded. kind of
what baffles me is... dpm wong kan seng is under fire now... the rest of the govt just left him to die. not a single minister as spoken a word about the incident
