hello peeps,

Just wondering how many of you are LP players irregardless whether you use famous brands, copies etc and why do you stick to your LP- maybe inspired by a guitar hero?If this topic had been raised before, pls accept my apologise.....

Mine would be jimmy page - my ultimate guitar god.... :D

It would be great if you could post your beloved axes.

i got a epiphone 1956 les paul gold top and a self custom les paul hanging on my wall! i dun really play every song with them. they are used to play songs written with les paul like gnr songs for example.. they gt their distince hollow sound.

Nice to hear from you too bro.Yeah i understand how you feel cos that's why i was wondering where are the LP players since it's neva been mentioned before as opposed to other famous guitar brands players :)

Did you do any mods to your baby?Mine's is a greco - both are from the jpn 80's era.Everything is stock cos they sound like jewels imho.Had a few epi's LP before too but sold them to get the greco's from jpn not in sg.

omg.. i love the old greco and burny lp's.. those mij ones.. the sound is fantastic.. i'm using an epi lp standard plus.. love the warmth of the tone..

I know what you mean. It's a poor man's dream to own a vintage gibby in my case :) Is your epi korean or china? My prev epi were korean which was better than the current china's made.Had one before & sold it off within 1 week.No offence here. The workmanship - paint ( super thick lacquer ?) , wood ( weight especially) fretboard feel except for the tuners is very very much different experience altogether.

as per my avatar. played strat for about a year plus but still went back to LP after all. the meaty/gutsy sound just gets to me la..heh. oh yah, its a mij tokai.

korean.. its really old.. was made in 1999.. and its got this pretty nice seasoned tone..

Dat's a good one bro.It's a keeper :D

yeah.. was tempted to trade it for a flying v... but decided against it in the end.. its a lil hard to find these days.. a lp standard plus with i think its either a cherry or sunburst.. plus its aged so it has a unique look...

for me, its cuz so many players use them...so i bought 1 out of curiosity (& i was a bit sick of floating bridges @ that time...)

its good for what i play (rock, metal..) & got great sustain & tone, so i've been using my LP ever since as my no. 1...

i've got an Epi LP+(wif SD 59', JB) & a Gibson LP Studio (wif EMGs)...

me been with my Burny LP for almost 4 years now... made in Taiwan i think.. but i've been quite satisfied with the tone it gives me still :D

like everyone here knows, thick and warm, great sustain!

while there are many famous players who use LPs, i dont have a particular LP hero... just love the tone u get from these babies
