Hope the photos I upload will get back to the Tyler Beauty topic…
I’m the man who start the fire , I’ll extinguished it.

After all! I’m the most ignorant Tyler User on these thread!!!!!
It’s all for awareness and not hurting your egos of being Tyler genius. especially for those who just owned recently.

Thanks Sir Keat Chon for everything!
need to catch up with nice prata & kopi with you, and need to discuss the coming NAMM too , it sounds interesting.
Do you still have you Mesa Quad Pre and 295 power amp that u bought from me ?

Ahahaha nice one yar! Nice collection seh, I'm still eyeing ur bluey. Do u still have ur Palmer? The di box/ emulator? Want sell?:-)

I’m using my Palmer Rack PDI-03, PDI 5 , i have the DOD speaker simulator DI, not in use since i got the Palmers.
I might consider selling the DOD,

I'm talking about the palmer 9. Cos I'm thinking of leaving out the amp, straight to mixer. The dod works the same way?

Some questions for you Yar:
1. Which of them is your favorite Tyler and why?
2. Ever tried a Tylerbastar or Mongoose? Impressions and comparisons to tele and Les Paul respectively?
3. Have you tried a hollow-bodied Tyler?
3. What's your impression of Mamywo body?

Thanks in advance.

hmm mamywo, it sounds dark and fat compared to alder. im looking at trying the tylerbaster with bacon soon... haha and the mongoose never fail to appeal to me... but yeah interested to know how it sounds too!

Thanks dorngo, that's what I read about too. But could it also be due to the pickups they load that's why Tylers with it sounds dark? I noticed Mamywo-bodied Tylers usually come stock with hot or at least hotter-than-vintage-spec pu's so I'm thinking that could be one major factor on the perception towards Mamywo.

ive always perceived BW to be mamywo. dun ask me why, but its just that each time u mention BW, i will think of mamywo. lol! well the pups do make that difference, but i think the resonance of the wood plays the most essential role. but generally that is the difference. i think we should all buy mamywo! asian pride. haha

Hi all Tyler owner here! I'm new to Tyler, but i find that Studio Elite HD might be one of the best strat i ever played!
But unfortunately the shop in Singapore that carries Tyler does not have the specs that i want.
Can anybody here recommend me some website that carry Tyler guitars, or any dealer that can help me custom order a Tyler and have it shipped to Singapore? (I have googled it but extra information from you all here will help me alot!)

Feel free to PM me too if it is too sensitive to post at here :)
Thanks in advance!

tyler guitar damn light hor?

You can try Wildwood Guitars. They will only require a 30% deposit if you will go custom. Service is top-notch and Lance Bowzer replies to your emails promptly and concisely. It's a great time now to order Tylers because it seems they have now sped up the production specially when the new facility becomes operational.

Or you can also ask Uni-Sound in Hongkong. They got nice prices for new Tylers(and Suhrs, I think).

Hi Edgie! Thanks alot! Any idea how long is the waiting time? and how much roughly is the cost for a Studio Elite HD model?

MIne took 2 1/2 months after I placed the 30% deposit. Well, I don't know if mine if a normal build rate now or I just go lucky that Tom Chambers(who btw, is no longer with Tyler) pulled my order up from the list. I don't know, maybe someone pulled out of his order mid-way thru the build and it has the same specs as mine. I sure am not complaining at all, it made my Christmas early!: )

I was initially quoted by Wildwood by 7 months. Then at TGP, Tom stated that they'll try to finish my guitar within 6 months. So imaginge my surprise when Lance Bowzer of WW told me my guitar is ready. hehe

It cost me6.1k sgd including tax and shipping thru UPS. The custom features on my BW are matching headstock, full-body paint, and the mid boost circuit with bypass. If you are going to get a Tyler, I would suggest get the midboost, it's awesome specially for mimicing Les Paul-type tones out of your Tyler or just simply raising the low and hi mids and gain. Mine has a Supercharged Studebaker in the bridge and 2500's(alnico II singlecoils that work with 500 ohm pots) in the neck and middle.

@ MUNAk

here’s my 2 cents

There’s a difference between buying guitars blindly online and choosing the right guitars for yourself by trying out 5 or 10 guitars at your local dealers.the price might be higher than online dealers but believed me ,you will save more in the future if you got the right one, than getting a dud Tyler or any guitar purchase online and sell it again at loss is you are not happy with it.
