anyway.. thanks to you, i've got a boss pedal.. MIJ also.. just haven't really test out the potential in it... will post again tomorrow...

my tomorrow sure is late.. hmm...
and i realised i made a mistake.. my pedal ain't MIJ.. it's MIT.. but still, it's quite an old pedal..

may not see the words clearly.. AGAIN!!

as you have noticed, there are 2 red knobs that are not the usual colour for hm-2 which is orange. when relinquish69 got this pedal, it's already missing a knob. went to swee lee to try and get the original orange but they are out.. so got red.. just to even things out, put 2 red instead of 1.

I regret selling my HM-2. Was this the best selling distortion by Boss during the 80's?

Heee.....this is coming more like a "battered and bruised pedal collection" :D

omg, red knobs?! hahaha, whatever makes you happy :D .

HM-2.... it sounds like a big muff clone to me. very underrated pedal I must say. it can do from fuzz to heavy chugga. depends on how you tweak it.

I liked it but reason why I let it go is cos I didnt want to have too many distortion sources :).

old pedals hardly retain their condition after years of stomping. it really isnt surprising to see all those beat up pedals yeap? more character anyway dont you think ?

Another addition to the "battered & bruised" pedal collection. Bought this MIJ DD-3 back in 1989.

thats in a really bad state man! how do you abuse a pedal to such an extent 8O ?

I was quiet brutal with my stuffs in my younger days :D . Anyway....i'm not bothered with the cosmetics. Think mangosteen, ugly on the outside.....sweet on the inside 8)

I got an MIJ Boss OC-2 pedal. :)

Sounds like the MIT! Such a disappointment! :D
haha! not all MIJ pedals are superior to their MIT counterparts. thats the misconception that most people have. even if there are differences, they usually subtle 8) .

in such cases, www.bossarea.com is the place to visit as there have been many comparisons done between various boss pedals.

anyway, I'm curious to know how much you bought it for. there are some people selling it at almost 2 times the price here in Singapore 8O .

woah, now rocktek also became collector stuff?
I guess any pedal that has been around for more than 10 years is classified as collector's stuff. I dont think anyone can beat your collection though. damn friggin huge 8O !

Tee Hee Hee~~~
I was kidding lah! :P

I haven;t got the chance to a/b it... i used to have an MIT OC2 but sold it off, then realised, its a pretty neat, if underused, effect to have around. So I went to get one again, and found an MIJ one.

I got mine for $120. Its not not double but its ont cheap either.

I just want my MIJ DS1 back now...

Jeng...jeng...jennngg. Here is my Rocktek MW-1 Metal Worker. Bought it at Raymond Music at Specialist Shopping Centre back in errr....1988/89 (i think). Looks terrible...i know. Kena North Korea nuclear test :D

I have to agree with you on the underused part. I cant really find many applications for it. thats why I sold it. $120 should be pretty alright I suppose. you are finally paying "normal" prices for your boss pedals  .

what happened to your DS-1 by the way?

damn man, all your pedals are beaten up  .

saw this Rocktek pedal while searching yahoo auctions. just wondering. does this pedal belong to the same era as yours? I've totally no idea about them. $10 for a pedal, its probably a steal hahaha.

Randolf is helping me convert the LED, from the momentary type, to a regular one that's on the modern Boss pedals. Taking a wee bit of time to do it... :P I miss it... I prefered it over all the modded DS1s and versions...
