esp+mII+special+order+headstock+reverse.JPG

this is the headstock rear view which proves that the Special Order is a regular production unit, not a custom. proceed to Davis GMC & tell them you wish to purchase a special order model & they will administer the rest. here's a list of what can be tweaked & what cannot: http://theguitaraddict.blogspot.com/2010/12/esp-special-order-spec-list.html

the objective of the Special Order model is to allow the buyer some options to tweak the features of their instruments from the current range of products, unlike a Custom order which the buyer has to specify from the ground-up. this would also mean that it's more affordable.

Hey Sub that's actually a very good option to have. For most custom shop ESPs that I've seen, they only vary slightly from the regular production models. Most of them come custom cutaways and scoops but tonewise, they sound the same with almost no significant differences in the tone at all (Considering it's made with the same wood and are fitted with the same pickups eg EMGs). IMO it's not worth making a custom from scratch but buying one 2nd hand would make it a totally sweet deal.

what is the price difference if you were to get a special order as opposed to getting a regular production model? is the range wide?

Anyway, maple and white make an awesome combination. good taste!

the base price for the Standard Series is $2.3K+/-
the Special Order specs would be an additional of $400 - $600, depending on your selections. this is definitely lesser than any Custom model.

Alrighty Guys...

here's my share for 2011. Think I've pretty much assembled on what I want and my quest for gear has offically halted to a stop ( except for some decent cables.. )... and Now.... it's really time for me to learn some decent songs... I guess I'm the only one here blessed with pretty good gear but can't play sh*t to save myself.. hahaha.. enjoy.. :)

Niceeee. Not helping me cure my gas for a JM at all. HAHA. Tried my friend's '64 Jaguar and it was sick man. The neck was very unique, a very full c-shape.

Awesome Jazzmaster. How do the Lollars sound?

PS - Just $500 more before I can get my own JM! Savesavesave!!!
