How does the 27" scale affect the playing of the Les Paul itself? For a 7 string guitar it makes sense but I don't get the reasoning behind it for 6 strings.

I feel very paiseh uploading my guitar but ohwells.

Here's my new PRS SE Custom 24 25th Anniversary in Scarlet Red, its perfect, only thing is theres a ding at the tip of the headstock but thats from shipping, would be lovely if it didn't have but you win some you lose some but still... LOVE it to bits. The quilt looks REALLY KILLER in real life, the pictures dont do any justice

Ran Guitars

It's been more than a year since I logged in, and I have acquired some rather interesting, probably unique pieces of equipment. Here's one of them, I am a terrible photographer, hence I will use the pictures which the guitar makers put on their website.

How do you know it is mine? It has my name on it.

Any comments about it being a waste of money will be duly ignored. I think I managed to out-cheese every other metal guitar in the world. Oh yes, specs, all hardware is Schaller, pickups are SD blackouts. If Ized is still around, he can tell you that this is a kick in the nuts to all the strats out there on clean. Maple fretboard, maple neck, neck-through construction, alder body. Any other Ran owners on this little rock?

Ran guitars eh? I read they can replicate almost every body shape out there in the market. Many good reviews on forums like ss.org. Must have cost you quite a fortune for a custom request. Still, it's very cool to know that there is such an awesome guitar in Singapore \m/.

I think Ran Guitars got a very nice niche in the guitar market. Most custom builders go for traditional designs in the mould of LPs, strats, teles, etc. Ran focuses on custom-made pointy heavy metal axes, including 7-8 strings grinding machines!

My 3 Japan made Jackson guitars.

1) Jackson DK2 Blue Orange Flame
2) Jackson WRMG Warrior
3) Jackson PS-2 Performer
