Fuzz for Texture: How do you USE it?

Goose, nope you can't fit any battery inside, only came with 9v tap and led.

I'll try to post some gut shots when I have the time aite. :D

interesting topic, be nice if got more clips. Texture of sound without clips might result in having different thoughts even if its a similar sound we are hearing.

Shredcow - yeah the Beebaa

the Barge Concepts' ones pop up on ebay occasionally. Yes, it's very harsh, but I'm not sure how harsh it is compared to the Death By Audio or Devi's pedals.

But its harsh enough until, to be honest, I have no use for it on its own. It's always stacked, sounds farty on its own, but the sustain is incredible. Can go on for minutes.

I love it, but truth be said, its an acquired taste.

I'm looking at a Blender and Scrambler now hoo haa.

Pathin, you're right - how nice to have clips...

situationist - cool cool... I'm getting a London Fuzz I and a silicon fuzz face... from there, I'll look around some more. I wonder how I would use the BeeBaa sounds though... hmmm... just for stacking? No hope to use it alone?

Shredcow - yeah, for me i have no use for it alone. have to be stacked. i'm on a strat so perhaps humbuckers would sound different.

but definitely thick-textured. you might like, to be honest.

not a fuzz fan per se but i enjoy using it (at restrained drive settings) with an amp's dirty channel (also at restrained drive settings).

imho, the sound from beebaa is not harsh in the way of e13 or DBA way.

There are some useable sound in there. The version that i had from prophecysound is pretty usable. Some setting can get saturated in a wooly smooth kinda way also.

If wanna harsh, try fender blender. I love it, the weird metallic overtone at some setting is good for causing pain at loud volume

I'm no expert, and I'm certainly lacking the experience and expertise you guys have. But I love my fuzz as much as any of you, so I thought I might just contribute my one cent's worth.

I use this pedal called the Monsterpiece Two-headed fuzz. Built by this fellow from HCFX, not very well-known I must admit, but it gets the job done.
It's basically two pedals, one germanium and silicon built into one box.

I use it in conjunction with the Tubezone.

Tubezone --> Germanium --> Silicon.

I set the Tubezone to a smooth, low-gain tone, and when the Monsterpiece is kicked in (usually the Germ side) I get this dynamic and pick-sensitive half-fuzz-half-overdriven tone, not idea how to define it.

It cleans up real well, which I like, up the volume knob and the fuzziness becomes more prominent.
Pick softly and it's clean, to a certain extent, pick harder and you get the smooth low-gain overdrive with a sweet, thick fuzziness ringing all about in the background.

I can't really explain it, but fuzz is really something else. It's somewhat orgasmic, the way it splutters and spits sometimes.

Joy oh joy!

fuzz texture check out Flying Saucer Attack. That is FUZZ TEXTURE... but he uses a DS1 and a digital delay!

bwahhahahahaa....

yes you shud! But throw in scrambler circuit in it to.

mode 1 blender without tone boost
mode 2 blender with tone boost
mode 3 blender cascade scrambler
mode 4 scrambler cascade blender
mode 5 blender parallel scrambler with extra blend knob

power!
