FUZZ Addicts, over here!

Oh. Yeah, plus it can cop some basic chorus sounds as well which is cool. Wana try one too but that'll be after my board is more or less settled.

What else do you need?
For me I wanna replace my wah with a Mini Morley Wah/Vol and probably a WF Rat in the future. And I hope THAT'S it!

I didn't like the PS-3 at all. The shimmery thing was annoying, not pleasing.

I'm also another one to voice out my displeasure towards the Zvex layout. It's not so much about kicking the knobs. I HATE the jack placement. As a pedaltrain user the pedal would take up alot of space due to its length. I hate vertical pedals with side jacks because it makes the length of the pedal even longer. I could always put the pedal upwards, but it'll make cabling a headache. Worst of all about the Zvex, if I put it on my pedaltrain, there'll be an empty void of space above the pedal that I cannot make use of. Unless I find a clock, or a pack of eclipse sweets or something.

Haha lucky for me it fits nicely above my Morley Wah. So no redundant space there.
Contrary to your preferences I'd wish more pedals are Z.Vex sized.

Size is a different matter, the layout of the jacks and the pedal being vertical is the problem.

What would be a good idea is a layout like this:

So that when I put it upright on a pedalboard the jacks are on top.

An echobox and a trem. Regret selling my TR-2 man, realised I use it much more than I thought. Plus I'm trying to get rid of as many dirt pedals as possible starting with the fuzz face and MAYBE the bluesdriver..

Dudelove: For the fuzz factory it isn't so bad cos its the first pedal in the chain so it doesn't take up too much space. Although the only good things about the zvex enclosures are that it fits into tight spaces and it'll look great on an all zvex board haha.

Reviving this thread with a freaky fuzz I came across...

The DR. FREAKENSTEIN FUZZ
Dr%20FF%20&%20Igor%20resized.jpg

The lights come on when you flip that knife switch and the meter is for input gain. The fuzz itself has an additional oscillator controlled by an LFO (the mod switch and rate knob), which interacts with the main fuzz circuit. And it comes with a pressure sensitive footswitch (the doctor's assistant Igor) that's basically an expression pedal. http://www.raingerfx.com/dr freak.html

:o :o :o

I'm looking at these rather cheap pedals:
Fuzzhugger(fx) Algal Bloom at only US$125.

Black Arts Toneworks Pharaoh at only US$130.

^ Except it's completely open source and the possibility of a multitude of builders signing on. Crazy flexibility! Also, the carts are not limited to dirt.

let me join in the fuzzz clubbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbb. thread revival i hope!

anybody here currently owns an devi ever hyperion or aenima ?

Someone should start a muff club.........

Ya man, I'm quite a fan too. I have the Big Muff Wicker, Germanium 4 and Russian Muff. The Ruski muff is quite a different pedal from the rest; the knobs feel like they will drop off anytime and the tone is more muffled. My favourite so far is the Wicker, but I've left it in the standard Big Muff setting, which I find sounds best! The Germanium's best feature is the Volts knob on the distortion side, it makes for some interesting o/d and distortion colouring. Oops, think I'm hijacking the thread...ok ok, I've got a Lovepedal Dragon Fuzz, which sounds great! :)

I'll be getting my 2nd rams head clone byoc from a softie after ty messed up my tri muff byoc. Kinda pissed. No, im really pissed. Nxt shipment comes in a 'few months time' and i cant wait that long without that violin lead tone...

Hey guys. Just a show of hands, how many of you use batteries with your fuzzes?

Just got a lunar module and a plum crazy fuzzy lady recently. The Lunar mod is a beast. Lovely stuff. The fuzzy lady isn't quite working for me though. Powering the Lunar mod with my schizophrenic. Still using the carbon batt that came with the fuzzy lady.

If it safe to run the fuzzy lady with my schizophrenic with a red tipped jack centre positive cable?

Seeing as carbon batteries are oh so hard to find around these parts, unless someone knows of someplace?

Email the builder dude! I don't use batteries with my fuzz. The sound is negligible to me, even for my fuzz face.

Haha yeah why didn't i think of that. But i'm just curious to know if anyone uses their dedicated power supplies to power their positive centred germanium fuzzes, and if they had any problems?

I prefer to use a battery with my tonebender, gets more gritty and warm.. Anyone knows where to find carbon batteries here? I've tried regular batteries, the cioks dc-10 and carbon batt.. Sounds best on carbon batteries to me..
