If you hear the other clips it gets MUCH more tones than just that trumpet tone.

Thing is I've been searching for that horn tone for a very long time, trumpet, sax.. I love these instruments and it'll be nice if I can get a similiar sound.

There's a toggle switch for trumpet mode or a very, very sweet & warm-ish silicon-sounding (I dunno what it is) fuzz-face-ish (I think) fuzz.

Btw, dudelove, you can get trumpet-y, horn-ish sounds out of a guitar with just fingers and/or use of a tone control.

Your 1st clip made the fuzz sound good man although its not how it sounds in person but thanks alot 4 the clips.

I now know why u use the SD-1 with the fuzz monster. It compliments the fuzz surprisingly well, would have thought of that. It sounds good on its own but the SD-1 gives it more high end and cut.

Among the fuzzes I've tried, one that stands out is the very versatile Retroman Sybil which is now with Shredcow. The combination of silicon (for some bite and edge) and germanium(for warmth) makes up for a very balanced sound. It's a fuzz that responds like an OD meaning it doesn't feel transistory but the fuzz huge tone is definitely there. I've combined it with cbread DLS and an RMC WOF wah for some Hendrix songs I did with my band and also managed to do modern rock songs with it just by switching the DLS to rawk mode and making some adjustments on the Sybil.

Question for jskadiang or whoever cares to answer:
What's a very noisy yet conventionally musical fuzz you've tried? In other words noise/feedback/harmonics that sound musical or matching to the fundamental note, not dissonant overtones or ring mod clanging. Interested in the Devi's particularly.

Haha dude. Waiting to purchase a good mic. Thinking of the Blue Microphones Yeti. Plus it sounds different from the original file and the Youtube one.

Yeah USB. Looks good and good price IMO. Wait a bit more before I get. Plus I kinda have an M9 up front on my wish list. Want something that can do delays and reverbs in one package with acceptable tone.

Whoa you can tell? My friends tell me oh it's the size of a Wampler Pinnacle or something. It's a D*A*M sized enclosure!

Yeah, for the width its pretty normal cos of how much space the switches take. Its easy to tell the length esp from the 1st photo leh, seems abnormally long.

Haha, the pinnacle is too small alr. Don't think it can fit 2 of those switches comfortably and with space at either side. The finish itself is making me gian to get a treble booster for my fuzzes.. then maybe I can get rid of my DLS for a nord 70 heh.
