heh, how many years have we been looking at pictures and continuing to believe in the magic of sound in words plus to further lead the new ones around based on that.

In a way, kinda like soccer, how some officials has been pretty much against video refereeing saying that it takes away the magic. But then without it, many things which should not have happen or passed down, kept going round and round.

Oh well, anyway, even if not kaupeh, really lah, it will be nice to not only talk sound, but able to share that to others in term of own presentation. If we cant present that in our own representation, how much of it we hear, can be trusted and how much of that, actually make sense in a musical context?

I was where you are now, just on pedals alone, any sort of pedals and not just fuzz. 10 years later, i know what i want and what makes music and not just playing geetar. Am still buying gear, but selectively and more exclusive to making music and not just playing geetar. The pedals from over the years, mostly are relegated to a corner, only when needed, then perhaps will see the light of days..

we are all fanatics, when we havent buy enough...

You're right, what might be an obsession now might not be an obsession 10 years later. I like being obsessed with gear, not just pedals, and I won't change anything in the world for that. But yeah, we'll see in 10 years times.

^ Heh yeah, redundancy never seems to be an issue for me when it comes to this. As a huge Corgan fanboy I feel obliged to be able to have a huge number of fuzz sounds available at one go for spontaneous Siamese Dream-inspired riffage. Haha.

^ Corgan uses a 1978 Op-Amp v4 Muff. Heh. Yeah that seems to be a problem to a lot of people, particularly Devis. I love the way they sound though.

Oops my bad haha.. Some of Devi's stuff are usable but pedals like the TBD are hard for me to use for more than 15mins. The Soda mieser and shoe gazer are the ones that seem more usable and I like how they sound.

wck: Definitely try out the Shoe Gazer, first Devi for me and I really enjoy it, up till now. Awesome synthy lead tones, trashy chords, and thick, long sustain all available from one pedal. Just buy one already! Haha

Most interested in the Shoe Gazer but too bad they don't stock em in SG.
