East Side Guitars @ Excelsior Hotel basement

Maybe someone can enlighten me, are they registered with the ROC at the first place? If not the closest thing one can do is to make copies of the vendor's passport.

Adrian if you got his details, I think you should make a report, maybe can locate him and salvage a bit if you can.

Did any of you gotten any official receipt with a business registration number?

I don't think they ever issued any. The company was registered in the malay partner's name. Zakk Kim was always here on social visit passes. If that helps, maybe looking for the right person would help?

Yah lor, I think you are right Ken.

In that case I would rather pay for some other brands available locally, as advise by Randolf in his thread. Personally I can do custom order from Mesa US since I got contact there but the waiting time is too long, and also the hefty shipment.

When Mr Eastside says he can bring in Mesa, I doubt he gets them from the right source.

Hope he appears real soon to clear the air man.

If someone wanna locate the Malay partner, I last saw him boarding MRT at Yio Chu Kang.

(You guys know SL was supposed to bring in Mesa? I think the deal sank bcos of the difficult terms Mesa laid down..)

Lets keep this thread focus on Eastside will ya all? this is a serious matter.

Irfan will be coming in to explain things. I've just called him.

Hope he appears real soon to clear the air man.

I hope he does too. :| Looks like quite a number of ppl have their money stuck with him, whether in cash or in kind. I'm fortunate that I don't, but I do feel sorry for those who do. Like goose said: Shit'zer!

Ok here's the latest.

Irfan, Zakk's partner has been ripped off himself and is in worse state than all of us. However, if you have any outstanding issues with Eastside or Zakk Kim please contact Irfan at 81971845.

That sucks. I spoke to Kim before, and he seemed like a nice guy. Never imagine this would happen. He probably in Korea or elsewhere by now.

Hope we all learn some lesson here.

Alternatively, if we can see those who have previously dealt successfully with eastside to post here, we can better judge the situation.

The malaysia dealer is not cooporeative. I emailed them for quotes on a few amps im interested. They said they cant give me.

Unfortunately the Malaysian dealer is a place where most of us Malaysians will not shop. Be very wary of them. I have bought a few units of amps & accesories (totalling close to 17K) for my church. When they were delivered - the amps were rusty & dusty - turned out they gave us the demo units on the shop. They never told me (the customer) that they were going to send demo. We paid the price for new units. When the driver came and delivered - we refused to take delivery & pay. So we received a call from the owner and he said we wasted their time. Excuse me? And yes - it's been a few months time - never have I heard a word of apology. They just sold us the demo units in hope we will not check it. All thoughout this thing we were very polite towards them - but they never extended the same courtesy or honesty to us.

Never will I buy again from them - unless it's really small stuff - but then again I buy mostly from Singapore haha.
