When I know kids are coming over, all my gear gets packed away in their cases, either stored in a corner or covered up. Simple-minded creatures they are -Out of sight, out of mind. Throw in some toys to distract them.

Dropped 90degreens face down, the crash gave me a heart attack lol but thankfully the gig bag had some decent padding, so only the strings were bent a bit and I had them changed. Still sounds okay though, I think. I'm still a noob, can't really tell the difference. :x
I always drop my guitar on the floor (didn't have a stand until recently =_=), so there's alot of chips and dents here and there, but if it still works well, it doesn't really bother me. After all, it won't be my one and only guitar in the future.

Drop a jackson soloist from an elevated platform to the ground face flat. After that there is a paint chipped from the guitar body. That totally ripped my heart out. After sometime, I've come with term with the guitar. I still plays it and I think it sounds nicer after that. I still feel like getting another guitar though. Lesson learnt is get a cheapo guitar next and thrash it upside down... haha... like that no more heart ache.

i think i'm a lil evil here.. i uses only wall hooks as my room have limited space and i dislike e lack of floor space.. so yup all guitars are up on wall hooks..
so in my case if a fnaughty kid decides to mess around.. the next thing that might happen is the guitar fell on the fnaughty that deserves it.. wahaha
well the high up guitars actually isnt an easy reach for kids and they are actually better to prevent neck warping cases.. i never trust floor stands.. no matter how complex and high end stand, 1 kick it'll be down for sure.. as for wall hook, unless u learn some martial arts...

my first guit. a squier strat. haha. it fell a few times. like more than 10 times from my cheapo stand.
and once during jamming. i jump when i play and stuff. (natural playing expression)
the strap pin came out (strap locks) and it smashed down onto my me50. yeah. ouch for me back then.

besides, such guitars are like Man Utd... Once they drop down, no more value liao ....

i hate kids. i hate them. especially if they're noisy in large groups and monkeying around my guitars. my little cousins dropped one before, luckily it was a cheap one, but it gave me the excuse to yell the skin out of them. HEHE!!!
maybe ur beast is possessed and it has made u emo about it. sell it away! u may do stupid things instead.
i dropped my guitars before, once the strap came out when i was adjusting my chords, then the guitar dropped from about 3 feet high and bounced twice on the floor. took it up to see so many nicks and paint chips. somemore it was a highway1 fender strat, satin finish. heart pain.

ok, ok..make that a DROPPED vintage high end guitar .... only die hard ppl will want but coz it's dropped, the value is so much lower!
