I like anal-og cuz it sound warm n lush n has that nice decay.
the fundamentals of these are common. both delay & reverb are distant repeats of the input signal. the ones repeating at an extensive rate are termed 'delay' as reverb are quick-timed responses, regardless of the depth. there are many delay pedals capable of doing a reverb application but not many echo type efects can be extended to delay convincingly...
actually most delay can do the reverbish thingy just by turning the delay time down and provided the delay can go down to 10ms and lower, it can do the hollow-ish thingy which some peoople hear it as reverb.
but the opposite, no that common coz perhaps not much peope be using a reverb for delay purposes.
kinda like i want distortion, but i rather use overdrive to get distortion. Without stacking or blasting amp
does reverb and delay sound the same to anyone out there?
i tried a few delay pedals before I tried the DMM...tried the BOSS DD series 3 and 5, Ibanez delay(cant remember), Dano Delay, delays from multieffectors.....then the DMM came along and changed my world..I dun use delay for anything apart from wetting my sound....so the DMM serves well
I used to know a kickass guitarist called Christopher who had a JPM P3 and JEMs who used the nick "bluepowder" on ICQ. Is that you?
