on another note, there are some of us here who wish for an authority who would, in times of need, absorb certain costs in order to emphatize with the plight of the people- it won't happen anytime soon, that's for sure...

the govt had the ERS shares disbursed in may 2006.

But then again, Singapore buses have to be efficient(by efficient i don't mean great i mean i still stand in the bus all the time) because the cost of private transport is so expensive. In countries like M'sia where people all have cars, the buses come like once every 15-20 mins, and is not really in good condition, but not crowded either. So i don't really know what i'm talking about, but just stating stuff out.

singapore buses are damn disgusting. went up one bus the other day. there was like food wrappers all over the place. and the seats were like super vandalized with almost the whole chair covered with graffiti. and of course got chewing gum. like all over the place. on the floor, on the seats, on the ceiling. and it smelt like absolute CRAP. and the bus driver obviously dosent care about cleaning his bus after each trip. wanna up fare summore.

last year, i took this bus 65 home from school. WOOH! the number of cockroaches ah, would've made any non cockroach fearing girl be afraid of roaches. sg bus quality not veh steady. burn marks, free sex numbers, gum, sweets, drinks, and whatnot.

but the smell isn't as disgusting as sitting on a train with an old lady who just got back from whichever market with a plastic of fish inside.

but then, most busses have already been changed. or issit just the cover of the seats? for sure 21 is already like new, mostly i mean.

all these complainings will stop after a while... it's a trend, don't you all think so?

hehe, the standard of singapore passengers on public transport daily, if anyone having the chance to withness on a large scale in the control room of the service provider thru cctv. You be truly amazed and disgusted on how stupid/horny/dirty/clueless/rude, singaporean can be... :lol:

If cleanliness an issue, blame it on the majority taking the transport not knowing what shud and shud not be done..
