I think the Baybeats is a great platform for musicians and Esplanande is a great venue for a music festival... Its applaudable knowing the support that the people at Esplanade had given to this event.
I believe that the the management at Esplanade have considered all points and understood the sort of bands that have been chosen to perform by the organizers. Catering mainly to the youth.. they understood wat the current trend in music genres are..
What i find peculiar was your possible notion that hard music like hardcore are unacceptable and embarassing and should only be held at secluded venues. Regardless of what genre you do enjoy.. what needs to be conveyed here is.. which i agree with ur point.. is that there should be respect for other people's interest or point of view. While you cant expect everyone to be fond of the certain lifestyle or opinion... the other party should just respect that there are certain people with different sets of ideas and lifestyle.
So if there are those people who happened to be there and then.. and didnt like the type of music that are playing.. go away, cause its probably not meant for you in the first place..

Never did i mentioned expecting anyone to like what i like. You can neva please everyone.. and u shdnt be living in this world expecting to please everybody.. you will juz get upset and disappointed to discover the truth in the end.
Just be true to urself and belief in what you think is right.. You can neva be right all the time abd when criticism and harsh comments are hurled at you.. take it with a pinch of salt.. Agree with valid points.. If there isnt.. stay true to ur believes..but dont enforce it on others. At the same time, dont let others sway u with their opinions... Its all about Respect!
if it was said to you in such a vial manner, surely you wouldnt take it with a mild attitude unless you're saying you're a very very very patient person.
