BAYBEATS 06 is back!

I never said it did :) if I did then Love Me Butch would be considered metal, which they're not... and I enjoy them quite a bit. Don't get me wrong! I listen to In Flames and Dragonforce so I'm pretty sure I know the difference between a few of the metal genres ;)

ok imagine you're organizing a corporate event as such. you've fancy people. diplomats from other countries are here just sightseeing. and suddenly loud music and screaming comes out of no where. the diplomat is caught off guard. And it pisses him off.

Knightlaughalot - Dude, who do u think the target audience are at Baybeats?? Diplomats?? LOL.. I would sure love to see them being invited at the venue.. maybe they would like to join in the mosh-pit too..

The event should even be called.. Baybeats for the Diplomats.. that would sound nice too..

Just think logical and rational... back to you...

i'm sure Diplomats won't be there for Baybeats, but it's obvious that the Esplanade hosts more than just Baybeats and it's not implausible to suggest that there might be people at the Esplanade for events other than Baybeats. i know that there are sometimes important guests-of-honor who have to attend functions at the concert halls or theatres at the Esplanade.

give the bands a chance

+1

What if your band's really good but nobody's heard of you in, say, Australia. Then you get invited to play for Big Day Out and you get people saying "omg the lineup this year is disappointing."

I think the organisers would've listened to at least a few of their tracks... sure got QC somewhere la.

Give peace a chance, give bands a chance!! Give your mind a chance, listen to the bands at Baybeats then talk about the gig here la! :?

brudddaaa kicky why kennot laa!! i metalllllllllll rawwwwwwkkk leyyy \m/ \m/ hoarrghhh!!!! \m/  \m/ _|_

ya give them a chance dude...definitely sure got QC one...but esplanade defintely got some restrictions later the durian no more husk thn ya know...glass shattered

wat dharma said :)

also, the arena is not a secluded venue like substation so we have to be sensitive to other people's point of view.

there are 6 billion people in this world at least, you can't expect all to like what u like.

a lot of complaints for a free gig.. we're already benefiting so much by being able to enjoy music from other parts of the world and our own local arena!

-) so yeah, props to those who wanna enjoy 3 days of music without the fuss of different scenesters.
