lol ive been trying support our local music since i heard electro a few years back (although im just a casual piano/guitar player myself) by buying electro and ronin stuff
it wasnt until i found dis forum det i manage to find out more dates and times of events happening + all our great indie scene. its great to know we have one :lol:
no doubt ill try my best to go to every singapore band set, but i wanted to know which was the best schedule to have so that i can include time for rest/makan etc.

great spy experiment,tiramisu(woohoo!testical nation!)and LOVE ME BUTCH was freaking awesome.

but MAN,i was so disgusted at the standard of ingride.they were.....
they barely moved,zero band energy.the vocalist went of keys for EVERY SINGLE SONG.he couldnt even scream in key.backup vocals were messy.half of the audiences were cringing when he tries to hit the high notes.its disgraceful, one of the foreign bands were behind us and they were cringing, they even tried not to laugh.they were the kick off band for the arena and they were really bad(considering the usual baybeats standard).
harshly, i think they should have considered and picked other more better and worthy bands around.

cant mosh, cant body surf. sadly theres this random dude who asked me to lift him up to the crowd. and after a few seconds, bam! this dog came grabbing by my neck and did almost a full power bomb on me outside at the kurb. why cant we bloody mosh.?sigh. bands like love my butch makes me wanna move. it makes the crowds hyper. and we cant mosh. its damn sickening with those bloody securites.

They're running their own label if you consider the DIY ethic as indie/underground. Genre wise they sound post-hardcore.
Yeah overzealous security. Sounds like it's getting more and more anal every year. "Slam dancing" and moshing have been prohibited since paranoid letters were written after a Henry Rollins gig years ago. They'd crack down hard on it at "public" gigs.

Yes , Im terribly sorry for all of you who had to bear 30 minutes of pain throughout that set. We really sucked shit. I had to admit it was really nerve wrecking being up there. We tried our best though but we wanna apologise to you people. Thanks for the comment.

personally im against moshing at thins kinda things. u wana mosh go metal gig ah. can mosh till u break a nose or watever and no one will care. thing is the crowd at baybeats is general. many dont understand wat moshing is. many might or will not like it. and the thing about moshing is u can get pushed into it whether u like it or nt bcoz of the people behind u.
like yesterday someone started bodysurfing. my fren was quite pissed so he pushed him to the ground. the guy quickly scuttered away. then security came and pulled my friend coz he thought that my friend was the one body surfing coz they were wearing similar clothes.
its ok to move ur body to the music. jump around. bt moshing i think is too much. too much for this kinda events anyway. u'll end up spoiling ur day when security comes up to u, pulls ur hair and shines a torch at ur face(happened to some kid). and when u get caught u cant go back in. can only watch frm outside. yeah so enjoy urself the next 2 days and have some clean fun!

tiramisu is awesome, its so damn crowded to get a good view of them..
love me butch was really awesome, even when i hate screamo, the guitar is quite punchy, doesnt sound muddy to me
