Kudos to the organizer too (didn't catch his name, the guy in the yellow polo t =), for allowing the mat rock bunch to perform a song... Not quite everyone's cup of tea (I think many of the ppl sitting next to me n my girlfriend got up and left when they began) but music is music is music, and I respect the organizer for allowing them that.

Thanks Exodus for coming. I was taking an extreme risks for some unrewarding ideals. Thank God for absolute control of the situation, and no incident happened.

Haha.... next time you do that Mr Heartorck, I want those yellow steel barricades at least 5feet away from the stage and equipments. Not to mention cisco guards..... haha.... a costly affair.... hahaha

in the 2 times that I have been there, last nite was most "happening" i guess. the crowd turnout was very encouraging. the solidarity of the sub-culture as mikemann would've put it when they were moshing, although might be unpleasant to the uncles and aunties, i have to admit sometimes, as performers on stage, watching them dance along to your music gives you the same energy to give em more.

but at times all of us were on our toes when they were startin to get really rowdy n stuff. :p

Quote of the night. "Sorry makcik kita mabuk!"
translated, "Sorry Aunties we are drunk!"

lol..that's before they started singing Kebebasan.

and yah..mikemann...my bassist went home smelling of Barons.

hey guys, flybar here

thank you every one for providing us with a venue to play the show and the expereince was invaluable to us as it ws our first open air gig together

thanks to you all again!

hi flybar,

you guys were quite good, considering it's your first open air gig. your drummer is very consistent on the drums, keep it up. :)

just a pointer to the vocalist: don't block the guitarist when he's soloing. stand next to him and signal the crowd to him if you need to.

Cheers
Raymond

Thumbs Up to the organiser..

Went there actually just to catch sally's rejex, wanna hear them playing 'kopi dangdut'.

Manage to watch till cosmic strip performed. Cool stuff guys.

Hi Ina, glad you came down. Didn't see you, but I was busy the whole time.... heehee...

Do come a say hi if you around next time, btw I was the soundguy lah.... Cheers.

Was there to catch Sally's and Comicstrip last nite! As always they were good! Especially ComicStrip! Damn tight!

Another band to mention is Glitch. 1st time catching them play. And I was pleasantly surprised! Like their brand of music. Cross genres originals.. very interesting.. Tight too!

Need i mention Fatskunks? Haha! As always, entertaining!

Kudos to the organisers! You guys did a great job controlling the crowd.. Chaotic, but all in the name of fun! Hope to see more great bands playing in the future!

Anyway... Last night I noticed that most of the bands I saw were playing quite upbeat, reggae-funky-kinda-stuff (correct me if I'm wrong, that's what I made it out to be), and some rock at some points, and everyone was very good IMO...

Was wondering - who to contact if I want to play at the next Y-east session? Would it be ok if my band chose to play a slower, acoustic set?

....and I've nagging worries that my so-very-new band is simply not up to par. Is that a valid concern?

(and may I suggest someone enter the next few sessions into the calender? cheers! =)

plz do organize more of this kind of gigs!! haha! did'nt regret going. all the way from the west..haha! yea..alot of drunk ppl there. baron everywhere. u guys remember the drunk apek? damn! dunnoe how i ended up sitting next to him. but he was a great source of entertainment..wahaha! he kene bully by the punks! haha!

Acoustic sets are always welcome Exodus. Need I tell you who to contact.

NoAngelZ, such kind of gigs only come by chance...but good music will always be there.

Next gig 18th & 25th March

But I have bigger another event going on at the same time at Stadium Green for 18 & 19 March, details will be coming out soon.

And there will be more gigs related events happening everywhere on the East of Singapore planned for the next one year

Youth Concert 2006? If so please leak out some infomation , I wanna know what's going on....

I thot you know Juilius. I am still fine tuning the programmes and as you know I am working like rocket time to get things together. One of the heavy burden is to get 1 to 2000 people there.

exodus : actually i live on meyer rd, but ppl have no idea where that is until I say fort rd.

NoAngelZ : hmm that ahpek is some china guy. at first it may seem like a funny sight, but it just bothered me a little when I saw him in the moshpit "hugged" a young malay girl "accidentally-on-purpose" (when you're drunk your actions are intoxicatedly excused) and after that the girl was like kicking his nuts back at him. after that I helped calm him down during the fight cos the punks didn't speak chinese.. it's a little irritating to negotiate with a drunk. I would have taken him down myself if he didn't understood what I told him : "There are KIDS around." dumba$$
