WORST BUY/SELL encounter you had??

hey there. just wanna see whats the WORST buy/sell encounter fellow softies had...
I had a few. The worst was waiting for this guy for 3 weeks with super LONGGGG replies. Only when i threatened to put his number up on soft, then he replied. Saying he was busy at work. Funny.. only when i THREATENED then he suddenly not busy already, can reply. haha. then wait a few weeks later, say dont wana get already. woah omg.... irritating. exasperating! hate it when buyers dont inform sellers that they are not interested/got another buyer. this one lagi best, FEW WEEKS never reply.
These few times not too bad... only a day and quick fast response:) so im fine with these ppl:)
QUICK FAST RESPONSE even if you are not interested in buying man!

SO, anyone more unlucky / more exasperated than me?

if he doesn't reply then look for someone else. It's not like he ask you to meet then don't turn up. Or he meets you and say only got $X and cannot withdraw money. Yours isn't too bad. If he doesn't reply means he's not interested.

wah, chill girl. This sort of thing always happens every now and then, but nothing we can do much about it.

I had one deal that left me a little cheesed. Offered to buy a Microcube from a particular SOFTie (whose name and contact number I have forgotten). Emailed her asking what was her FINAL selling price, and she offered me a pretty good deal. As it was a late friday night, I offered to meet her the next day. However, claiming that she was overseas for the weekend, we eventually settled to meet at an MRT on the following Monday at night.
So came Monday. My RQ delayed me, wanted me to do some stuff. By the time I got out, I was going to be running late. So I sms-ed her to say that I would probably be late by about half an hour, asking her if she would mind waiting for me.
No reply.
I reached the MRT earlier then expected, and gave her a call. She didn't bother replying, nor picked up my calls. So I sms-ed her again, saying that I was here and that I had the money ready.
Zero reply.
So after waiting there like a cuckloid for about 45 minutes, I headed back to my place, since I was running late for an appointment.
So when I got home, I emailed her again, asking her whether she was okay, what happened, and still expressed interest in buying the cube.

Needless to say I never recieved a reply.

I had some worse issues from elsewhere but this is the only one from SOFT though
And, if the soul who stood me up is still here, if you STILL have the cube, I'm still willing to purchase it.

threatened[/b] him? What rights do you have, to threaten him?

When a buyer confirmed his interest in your item, is there any obligation that he must buy it?

If such buyers are in the wrong, I have a very long list that I've been keep track.

Just move on to the next buyer, and ignore these time-wasters.

eh wait chopeeeeeee....
i got a buyer. but he lived very far. he said i could let go if got other buyers. Im not saying my situation very big la. just wana know other softies' bad experience... yeap not a complaint and stuff. seems like theliverevolution had a pretty bad one man. i had something like that too. but experienced in ebay last time.
O and threatened too strong a word? told him? LOL.
O wells only when i said ill put his number on soft, then he replied.
sometimes needa test the waters.
1mband: hmm so if buyers confirm the item, not necessarily they must buy? then thats contradicting their actions? patient eh you:) more patient then me. haha.

is it true that guys have more patience than girls.. or girls just petty. haha.
o wells. shall not steorotype. after girlpants come find me:0 haha.

[QUOTE=retardedrummer;

girls more patience or guys more patience depends on the individual. Some guys have mood swings. Believe it?

Anyway i have met buyers who tell me they are interested but cant confirm so if i find another buyer they would ask me to sell first.

To me it means 2 things

1) Either the guy is really a gentleman/lady that doesnt want to play me out since he or she cannot confirm a deal thus may not want to get my hopes up but express interest at the item. May end up a potential customer.

2) The guy just wants to say sorry ur price too high or nah im not interested in ur item any longer.

Since so many of you have this problem of reserving then back out, i give you a simple solution.

Reserving permitted ONLY if you make a down payment. If not forget the reservation.

..

this is the worst one for me-

i just had one who offered me 250 for my boss gt8..
i told him i dont wanna deal..
he got angry, saying i wont go far with my attitude..
joker..
he told me to do research on gt8 and its price and demand..
i couldnt care less..
i dont wanna put up his name and contacts here..
we're all grown up, so lets move on..

so the best way is,just ignore and make way for people who sincerely wants to buy ur stuff..

Nah, if I was in your shoes I'd move on to the next buyer after 24 hours of being ignored.

I echo his sentiments

note:
Lol the only reason why I stayed that long is because while waiting I took out my DS and started playing, occasionally trying to call the seller. So I got a little pre-occupied while waiting :p
Needless to say, when it hit 7.45 I was like: "Argh never mind I'm heading home maybe that person had ran into something last minute or her phone got stolen."

rockassmonster:eh very patient with him ah. ill be like omg so irritating. hate it when ppl any how scold man. hmm o wells:0 good on you!

livetherevolution:u had DS? eh that time i play my psp, also not that bad! hahahhaha!
ahh... entertainment now adays, even make your business deals more pleasant:) haha

[QUOTE=retardedrummer

hahah section dont matter to me as long as the thread interests me :D

Anyway hahah im not wise. just learnt a trick or two. Sometimes having a problem instead of complaining/getting pissed about it learn to look at the solution instead or find one.

Buyers not interested? If they are serious i dont see why they wont be willing to downpay. To me it seems reasonable. Its the same when u ask a shop to bring in smth for you.

Well, there have been instances in the past where I waited for someone but that someone had REALLY been in caught in something major, hence deals didn't go through as smoothly. And there was once i was also caught in a traffic accident when trying to complete a deal. So yea, I still can relatively understand genuine cases, and was hoping that was one of them.

But oh wells *shurgs shoulders* THAT wasn't one of them ahahahaha

Yea, kinda. Helps you pass time waiting and waiting and waiting, unless it takes too long.

P.S: Lol my name is THEliveREVOLUTION not liveTHErevolution ahahaha

hahahha . omggg sorry! hahahaha. nvm la 99% correct. can call me drummeretard!
Moderators, please please shift this thread to where it belongs. Guilty man post here.
sorry!

hey chill girl. stop with the i feel guilty stuff.

Heres a good motto to follow : whenever i feel sad i stop feeling sad and start being awesome.

That aside. Nope i havent had any bad deals so far. all my reservations came through pretty well and alot of people ive dealt with became my v close friends. hehe. Im fortunate. But i advise many to do this because it helps u gain $$ for ur wasted time, 2ndly, helps ur blood pressure :D
