What do you stack with your Crunchbox?

I had my crunchbox for a very long time.. and recently had saved enough money to buy another pedal.. and so.. i would like to ask you softies on what pedals stack well with the crunchbox..

i looking for a high gain lead sound.. think paul gilbert.. thanks!

i am kinda pg fan and i dun agree with u that pg uses high gain.. think harder.

Btw i'm using a crunchbox and my gain level is just right at 1200hrs. ;)

i love gilbert's laney tone.. big, fat and rich.. like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V2Z-aj0Ojyc at around 3:40.. smooth.. yet the picking sound is so clear..

i know he uses a flexi mod ts-9dx but he's running it through a cranked laney..

i only have a blackheart little giant.. but i would like to get to as close to that tone as possible.. preferably with crunchbox.. or with a BB preamp.. (i tried stacking them together and it kinda sucked)..

already got my ibanez to be fitted with a tone zone and a paf..

P.S thanks to those who replied.. your kindness is deeply appreciated

@ 3:40, he turn his vol pot all the way up and uses a neck pup. You might wanna try that first. His sound is overdrive at loud volume not high gain to me. When the speaker is cranked to a certain level, it will behave differently. And PG's sound is largely contributed by the way he picks.

Paul Gilbert previously uses ADA preamp. Now he uses the preamp for slight overdrive on Laney, Now Marshall. Then he uses a few Ods, AC Booster, OCD & Fulltone Soulbender. He also uses light picks.

I would suggest you change your amp, rather than get another pedal.

i run it through a modded ts-9 by randolf, its the 3 way mod with 3 different funny circuits or some shit haha and another 2 way switch between the standard recognizable mid hump in the stock ts-9 and a more flat out flat eq-ed tone.

my crunchbox is up near 3 or past that most of the times and its basically on for most of my rhythm playing (metal ah) so the ts-9 kicks in during soloz just for the volume i guess.

recently got a bb-preamp and it really sucks when its guitar->crunchbox->bb->amp. you get this kinda really bassy tone which means you cant hear anything on the a and e string on neck pups (emg 85's) and it really sucks. it doesnt go well with certain amps too so yeah.

ts-9 still power!!

place the bb b4 the crunchbox for more saturation.

After the crunchbox you'll get a volume boost that'll cut thru the mix.

If you play in a band with two guitars, considering getting both of what i mentioned if you need both SATURATION AND VOLUME BOOST. it really worked wonders for my band, and it helped me to stand out from those shitty bands where the lead player cant be heard cos his sound dosent sit well in the mix. I find volume boost more important but more saturation helps too in terms of sustain.

ized so are you suggesting that you stack the crunchbox together with 3 dist pedals? one before and after for both the saturation and volume boost?

the only reason why i place the bb preamp after the crunchbox is cause i need that volume boost in the band. and since my ts-9 mod recently stopped working and all i can get is the stock sound which i dont like with the mid hump, ive been using the bb preamp as a booster more often which really sucks and really affects my confidence etc. ill see if i can find a video for you guys where i on the bb preamp. its so bad even with the bass knob down at about 9 o clock the the treble close to 1-2 that its like a fuzz.

ill take the bb's tone if its placed before the crunchbox anyday!! only problem is the volume boost which i would definetly need. any suggestions? :)
