Highway 1 strat. modded but the stock pups were put back in soon after.
Real nice smooth neck. Very very beautiful guitar.

nice stuff indigo... did you do any post processing on that shot?
that would be very nice shots coming from a D40 :) great job man!
i usually take my shots with a 30mm ... mostly portrait style pics. Your pics making me itch for some zoom lens action .. haha

+1 for natural lighting!!

Chanmin, good question. The only post-processing I carried out was the auto-level and auto-contrast functions in photoshop. The originals were slightly darker than the processed pics. cheers! :)

btw thanks for the invite to try out your other amps! :) busy lah.. must find time in busy schedule...

haha... you and kenneth ... too busy la.. must relax abit. Dont overwork yourselves...

Btw i feel my fralin single coil .. in the middle position.. alittle.. underpowered.. I think it could be in contrast to the Z90s??... which are higher in output. hows your fralin set going bro?

My impressions of their PAFs also same .. low output.. but i must say..they give very sweet tone.

Hey Chanmin,

about the Fralins, yah its true they do have slightly lower output. However the tone is really sweet! I love them. They have a full bodied sweet chimeyness. Not harsh or slightly thin like the pacifica's. This is through my Fender Twin.

When driving my OD-3 I found I needed to crank the gain of the pedal higher to get the same level of crunch compared to the Pacifica.. I'd put it at about 10 - 15%. This means the fralins have about 10 - 15% less output than the Pacifica's stock pickups.

I think I really want to try the baseplate for the bridge pickup.. i just heard the sound samples yesterday and wow there is a big difference in tone.

Must... try..... to ......squeeze..... some... time....out.. lol.

godspeed-its meant to be like that. hahahaha.

keith, both of us want to convert to SSS. LOL.

but well im a strat freak. i love strats.

I know malcom does the steel fralin baseplate. it worked beautifully for my diy relic.

i kinda wanna do this upgrade for all my strats... i wonder if it does anything for the middle pup... i think i'll try that out for the seafoam green one.

Wow!!! A Lawsuit worthy model! 70s replica! Does it have a 3 bolt neck plate too?

i must master it as i must master my life

Good luck dude. The strat is one of the hardest guitars to control. Especially if you're using stock single coils, 7.25" radius, 21 vintage frets and 6 point vintage trem...

But it's a lot of fun trying to do so...
