FPaules: i set the guitar on fire...then sanded in some areas to barewood cus it was charred quite unevenly... and coloured the exposed areas with pencil.... gave it a good cleaning with a cloth and Viola! Heavy relic.

Hi guys.

The first guitar i ever loved, together with my main guitar (the Jaguar).

It looks like one of the most plain strats in this thread, next to all you guys beautiful strats

It's not an outstanding guitar, but it's the guitar I made tonnes of mistakes on, the guitar that I improved on. I'm hoping I can earn enough to make modifications to the strat this school holidays, and make it SINGLE COILED, but I'm afraid it will change the character of the strat. That is my current predicament.

black strats are the workhorse colour la... id choose sunburst over black though.. but a shiny black one is always nice to look at...

St57 pups

Hi fellas, i'm a Fender newbie...played for donkey years but only got my hands on a strat...errg, make it 2 strats actually (ST72 & 57) just last couple of weeks. They are cheap lah compared to most of the strats pictured here by you guys...yummy. The 57 i got comes with Dimarzio Collection pups and i tried to find the pups specs on the net but don't have leh? Anyone can help...?

That's why i put the word ditch in inverted commas...haha. I still LURVE Ibanez...! To me, nothing beats an Ibanez in the sexy dept, lol. In fact i've been eyeing the SAS series...GAS for SAS (but need to save up again 1st, my strats burnt my piggy bank real bad, hehe)

My band's repertoire currently a lot of old/vintage sounds, that's why i got the strats for their classic twang and of course classic look (which btw is sexy in it's own way lah)
