the last thing we wanna be, is to rock out on a guitar that look like a strapped on pap members...![]()
Haha, red and white.. Killer combo there.
Anyway just a bit offtrack here and a little update from my Thai trip. Bros playing EBMM who likes to acquire a MESA can travel up to Bangkok Siam Discovery Center. I just returned from a 5 days short trip and have spotted some MESA amps in a musical instrument store there. There are a pair of stilettos 100w, and a Express 5:25 and 5:50 combos in...230V SG voltage! Yes!!
The 5:25 will set you back about $2500sgd and the 5:50 of course more. The final price, however, can be lesser with VAT refund at the airport. For those who wanna hand carry back, I recommend the 5.:25 (1 x 10" speaker), via budget airline with check-in limit at 15kg. The shop assistants, are however, not so friendly, since I dont speak thai and they dont speak english.
Siam Discovery??? Great! I'm there this weekend... (and last... dammit). I'll pop by. What's the guitars sold there?
It was a good guitar, served me well for 2 yrs before it had to go.
Changed the saddles to Graph Tech ones and the bridge PU to a Anderson H3+
cOOL SILO there, Nano. Gone for good - gone for your new Suhr, right?
Basket! Have you been spying on me?!?!
I am actually gonna order my Suhr tonight. * shifts the spycam he found to the toliet*
The musicman was a real work horse guitar. Extremely versatile , sounds very refined. Sinamex should stock up on more models and colours regularly for people to try and buy on the spot.
Haha. pure coincidence. I thought you posted a suhr sometime back and thought you might have sold away this for THAT suhr. A new suhr? or a new suhr AGAIN for you??
Sinamex? ya, I think they could have done better too. Seems like their focus is not on the selling of electric guitar... Hey, about the point you raised on sinamex, I got an idea to share: I have been bringing in EBMM guitars, and since I'm moving to a new place next year, I am actually thinking of converting a room into a mini testing studio with used ebmm gears so potential buyers can try out before taking an order thru me. Guess finding used items of the more popular models wouldnt be that hard huh? just an idea anyway..
Ripper: count me in!
Nano: Care to elaborate "Sinamex didn't do me right at all during my order of the guitar and after service."? I had great service from them when I ordered mine...
But yeah, they should definitely beef up their inventory.
Do you guys remember when Swee Lee was the dealer for EBMM? Now, that was hell...
My candy red silo , bought it at the same time as Chanmin.

Rossie is quite right to say. But Nano bro you got your point to. Lets reconcile the difference: Less focusing on a brand -> less inventory on hand -> reluctance on company's part in pre-sales/after sales service (ie. bad service) OR efforts to maintain market presence (ie. good service)...etc etc.
Whatever lah. I hope my little entreprenuer dream comes thru (depending on the continuity of my contact over at States, and of cos family planning).. Not trying to sa-kah the brand here but I find EBMM guitars are quality-built, design different from the conventional, and pricing slightly cheaper then the top notch brand (suhr, anderson) that upgraders can afford to own.
At the meantime. planning on my purchase next year. And yes - the Missus has given her greenlight!!(She find rootbeer looks cool, and she likes here A&W float, haha..)
Painted headstock? nice... not my colour though... But it's nice nonetheless. Dammit. ANY EBMM is nice lah... whahahaha...
how do the graphtech saddles sound? I got piezo in both my EBMMs, so I can't change them. But curious to know...
Seriously...a custom order guitar under a customer's name and its taken out of the box to be played around by someone else? I was not pleased.
The moment the sales person saw me, he took the guitar off the guy was totally nervous. So well fast forward the awkwardness. I tried the guitar, loved it and bought it. They also told me i'd be given a year of free set ups for the ernie ball.
I come back 3 weeks later wanted some minor adjustments cause the neck shifted a lil while i changed my strings. I was quoted 55 bucks and i gotta wait for 1 week.
Ignored the fella, walked into the guitar repair room, chatted the tech up nicely and he did my guitar there on the spot for free, like they were supposed to. If they hadn't promised any free set ups for one year, this wouldn't have happened.
Music man is a lil more affordable as compared to those brands. Plus as good in terms of sound and quality. I think having more advertising and in stock guitars will help people make their decisions better.
