The Ernie Ball Music Man Thread

What's this guy's name? Will make sure I'll never buy from him in the future. Honestly, that's not right. You can't let someone else try your ordered guitar before the customer takes delivery. If it's shop stock, it's a different matter. But this is ridiculous.

And free set ups? But still want to charge you for $55 for a neck shift? Damn! That's a DIY job, and they still want to charge you? wow...

I cannot recall his name. But he doesn't work there anymore. Probably for a reason. I would have just done it myself if they had not mentioned " warranty for free set ups for 1 yr ". So since i was in the area for jam, might as well. Lucky i asked before i handed my guitar to him.

Nano: I think I know who that guy is... Yeah, I think he's not working there anymore... Some time ago, I enquired about an EBMM, he said that I need to pay HALF of the total price first before they could put in my order, then when I finally ordered, Simon asked me to only pay 1k. Marcus also ensured me that my guitar will be kept in the box until I come to collect it.

Ripper: Yeah, let's focus on the inventory, and the "testing environment" as in the gears that they provide for testing, coz I find that they seriously give you all the time in the world to play whatever you want there. There's this guy that came in every week for two years to play an 8k Avalon, which he subsequently bought at the end of the two-year testing :D Sinamex understands that the customer would need to be absolutely sure of a particular guitar when he or she is preparing to fork out that much of cash for it, I think this is very important as by playing a really well-made guitar, it will normally sell by itself. Once in the basement of Peninsula, I tried a guitar in some shop, then the next few days I came back again to try it out, then the guy said to me "you come back and play play again ar?"... I was like WTF, I'm never gonna go back there again. I guess most of you guys would know which shop I'm referring to.

If you guys have any problems with your instruments, or are not too sure about the manner that you and your instruments are treated, drop CS an email or call, they'll surely point you in the right direction :D

*OMG, I sound like an employee... lol...*

hmm .. i ordered with nanoshred together... and luckily my white ebmm luke arrived WHITE.

sinamex doesnt seem to be adding much value as a EBMM distributor. I do not see any advertisements... or promotional activity. i tihnk they focus mainly on their audio products and Taylor sales.

After ordering the ..luke (then 2.5k+ now 2.7k+ -- $200 increase despite GST rising only 2%)
and waitting months... i recall there being some shipping delay. etc... but i agree nigel and the sinamex crew in general are friendly and professional. Ive bought a taylor 514ce from them before and the service was also very prompt.

Their prices... -_-"
.... i think can be better la.

Sinamex on the whole has good customer service. I probably just happened to be unlucky. I remember how they didn't even bother to tell us about the delay until we called them. Dear Chanmin gave them a piece of his mind.

Their music man prices are the moment are definitely not attractive as compared to other places.

Keep in mind that EBMM prices have risen by 15% as of Sept 2006 across their whole range of guitars and basses.

I donno bout this 15% thing, but I am quite sure they increase US$150 all the models when I took order of my Y2D during Nov 06.

But hey, ChanMin bro is right, this did not necessary translate higher dealer price. Why? Bcos when I order my 2 Balls at different occassion and another 2 more for customers' order, my dealers quoted me very very good price - Prices cheaper than that of Guitar Center, who claim to have the lowest price in the market! And as far as I know, the quotes I got are all cheaper than the supposedly raised pricing, up till this date. (Sorry - I like to use GC price as benchmark sometimes..)

Conclusion - There is no fixed pricing. There is however a Retail or Listed pricing. Then its all up to the dealer to discount for you. Trust me - I have ordered 4 balls and I negotiate with dealers to give me the best price. I tried to purchase a LE06 AL SSS from a florida dealer. Guess what? He offered me a US$99 discount if I use..or dont use AMEX, cant really remember. Now, how's that for an offer? And the price of that LE06 (Black with gold hardware..) was already in par with a standard AL, with the discount I could actually score a LE cheaper than a standard model!! Didint make the deal bcos I found the colour combi a bit 'serious' for me lah (but a bit regret.)

No worry - LE08 to look forward to.
