i don't think it would necessarily be an upgrade. the WM does a good gated fuzz while the blowtorch does distortion well. in a way it's not really the same effect
i mean the SC aka softcase, the zipper has seen better days and its been quite battered from too much travelling and stuff. Why want to change out of a PT Jr? PT's pretty much the best pedalboard ever.
cause I like a sound with just some crunch but the pedals i have don't seem to be able to produce the sound i have in mind. Thought maybe blending it would help. Or maybe it's the pedals i have.

how bout trying boss ODB-3... it has crunchy distortionz haha=)
i've used it before. it doesn't do GATED fuzz. not many pedals do in fact. and the WM doesn't do distortionThe main effect I was looking for is a fuzz. The Blowtorch does fuzz up when you hit the 'blowtorch' function, and hence is serving as a replacement for a much-coveted WM. The MXR is good enough probably, and while 18v power gives it loads of headroom, the power requirement DOES give a big headache because I don't have a fuel tank..
the short answer is: NObut is it mild?
i reckon you give the zvex mastotron a go. the woolly mammoth totally kills on muse stuff, and while the mastotron doesn't give the exact same fuzz as the WM, it's close. there's one at blackwood. the price isn't too far off from US prices.okay maybe i'm not looking for a distortion. But more of a fuzz.
Sth similar to the bass tone on Muse, time is running out. But milder.

i'd get one if i didn't already have my arger C+. arger capricorn does muse well too, but the mastotron has a very, very nice price tag.
