DOD bass grunge pedal (got it on sale for $80 at swee lee)
and ibanez BSA10 19w amp

its not much but i love it

It's not that expensive for a boutique pedal. that being said, you could probably pick up one a lot cheaper than that from the Talkbass classifieds if you are patient enough. They appear every now and then for about USD120 or so. Lowest I've seen was USD90. Given the current exchange rates, that's a pretty good deal.

lol, i think nw's the best time to buy whiles bush is still the president and US still going into war. after new president come in speculation sure drive the market to raise price of US dollar, expect our exchange rate to drop.

Had some time to spare today so I spent the day setting up (or at least trying to) my big board. It's just temporary. Will definitely need to get better cables for the big board. Been waiting for the Lava right angles to come out.

Had a crazy idea to connect both boards and the miscellaneous pedals that I had lying around...

that is really boutique. nice. how's the dark boost?

care to post the fx chain of your big board? with the LS-2 and vb-jr it looks pretty interesting

edit: and what's that little box below your small board? some kind of optic expression is it?

thanks.

the dark boost is a pretty useful pedal. trying it out as a clean boost into the octron 2.

first up, not all the pedals on the board are connected coz I've run out of patch cable. both the ls-2 and the vb-jr are not connected at present (as well as the tonefactor 442 red).

chain as it is now on the big board (Trailer Trash 30" x 18") is :

akai unibass - effector 13 dark boost - foxrox octron 2 - bjf BBBOD - sanford and sonny bluebeard fuzz - 3xfx fatman/v2 - chunk systems agent 00funk mkII - ebs unichorus - tonefactor nebula - montgomery appliances flanger - boss dm-3 - maxon ad-900 - Paul C Tim - Paul C Timmy - Boss RC-2

the order of pedals will definitely change. some pedals will not be one the board (like the Unibass), others may be in the loops of the VB-Jr & LS-2. Thinking of putting the 442 Red in the loop of the Octron 2 and the Timmy in the Tim's loop.

It's still very much trial and error at present.

that thing that looks like a PEEP is actually the Igor FX Fuzz Buffer - an impedence buffer. made by "Toasted" from Talkbass. It's 1 of 5 that he made in his first batch. very useful if you play active basses. just got it not long ago actually.
