hey guys, can i add my point of view?

i think that, all religions have one sole purpose.
-worship god-

and that many religions, USUALLY have one true god.
for those multiple god-figures always have one supreme God.
eg. greek= zeus buddhism = buddha.

when you look on a bigger picture,
It all points to one thing. "there is one and only one god."
different religions then have different concepts and ways to deliver this msg. just like genres of music.
one aim of it, is to enjoy music. but there are many many genres and different genres have different types of conveying that msg.

i stumble upon this quote in some religious-argument forum and one guy said this, and i couldnt agree more.

"science can only discover the wonders of god,

science can be at odds with bible,quran,torah and other religious dogma,

BUT, science can NEVER be at odds with god."

i'm not a scientific person btw.
but this quote does really change my point of view.

Some may see religion as propaganda. But ask yourself. Who created you?

There will lots of different answers. But. One thing is for sure. You came out of your mother's womb. I don't see anything about how you should pray to your mother instead of God.

Think what you want to think. Deny everything. But you can't deny the fact that there is a greater power that exists out there.

religions are like genres in music.

both has one purpose.
music=enjoy and having fun through music.
religion=worshiping and thanking God.

this kind of debates will go on forever until we are no more. faith is upto u. u want to question, go ahead at ur own risk. sometimes its best to keep on believing what u do & nvr look back. sometimes its best to b blind, bt make sure ur blind 100%. i highly advise one-sided & narrow minded moslems/christians/jews/hindus/and ppl alike to not engage in such debates as it would only enrage/derail them. when such a group enters such a debate/discussion, it becomes unfair & illogical. when it comes to topics like these, one ought to have a broad mindset.

Khai, not all religions are the same actually.. you may study the claims of each and see what conclusion you come to. However let me point you to the uniqueness of the Christian faith.. it is the only religion whose 'founder' Jesus Christ died and then came alive again 3 days later. This fact is the most documented historical fact in history (please do the research). This is what Christians believe. No other religion claims anything as astounding as this fact.

One other astounding fact is that no other major religion in the world has its founder proclaiming himself as 'God' and still remain sane.

Its difficult to argue about religion in forums but i thought i would give my 2 cents here. Sorry if I sound argumentative. Cheers.

no offence, but realistically speaking, if Jesus told people he was "God" here in 2006, chances are he'd have been declared legally insane.
