Boss,
I got a early Fender Japan tele. Fitted with Bill Lawrence L290TLE bridge and a full size humbucker neck L450 + Q filter. Very happy with the setup. Hope you can get thro Bill Lawrence first lah.
Another Fender Mexican tele refitted with a baritone neck that came with EMG. uhm... only good for certain kinda sutff like B-tuned chugga chugga growl. heh... no lah... its EMG lor... EMG sound lor.
The other tele not worth mentioning have Dimarzio DLX. No price for guessing who build that damn tele.

I have a USA Deluxe Tele with Selenium Cobalt noiseless pups with s-1 switching. Maybe not quite the trad Tele sound but great with blues/rock stuff.
Also have POT Tele custom built with custom wound hot neck and Jimmie Vaughan strat mid and bridge, with5 way switching. Also has Gibson style bridge and tailpiece for easy string hight adjust and restringing.

as much as people who love the tele tone, there cud be equal amount of people who hated the tone. No true or false, just like or dont like. Imho
both my tele using texas special, both sounded different with a maple board and the other a rosewood fretboard. It has the tele tone to me. Extra mod circuit plan provide by Edder, 4 way switching and a push pull pot to get 5 different tone. 2 extra are the series and out of phase series tone. The usual 3 tone still in there. The 2 pu in series sounds thicker and louder, works fine with distortion.

Bridge: Duncan Hot Rails
for high gain stuff mainly (black metal)... other subtle moments require my Strat's presence instead...

naahh... I wanted something more versatile and the L450 was relatively new when I ordered it from Bill Lawrence. Just wanna try something different. And I've been told that it matches well with the L290TLE.
And it IS different. ultra clean ultra nice spanking cleans from a neck humbucker.
