No matter who these people are, to me, a crook is still a crook.
Honestly, sometimes I'm a bit uncomfortable with some Singaporeans who have this holier-than-thou attitude.
They whine about the corruption in Malaysia or Indonesia or China or India, they whine about smelly Bangladeshis, they whine about the morally challenged West, they whine about barbaric communist North Koreans, they whine about everyone and everything!
When it is clear (at least to people with triple digit IQs it will be crystal clear, I believe) that human beings are human beings, no matter what their race or religion. Corrupted, psychotic behavior, uncultured, uneducated, smelly, unhygienic, bizarre, murderous people are EVERYWHERE.
Throughout the history of mankind, humans with skins of all colours have done all things people would normally describe as unimaginable.
I simply can't get over the fact that there still exist people in Singapore whom despite constant exposure to the world via television, mass media and the internet, despite the cheap cost of travel and easy access to places and people of all shapes, colours and sizes, they still appear to have very narrow and shallow minds and seem to live in a world of their own.
I really wonder, seriously.

You are uselessly pointing across the fact that i find it surprising that a drunk girl can become "sober" suddenly. I am referring to the fact that if someone is drunk,and the word is DRUNK. There are Malays born but not Muslim by birth in Malaysia. Some even serve in the Army and go to church on Sundays, and no this law doesn't apply to them.
according to the web newspaper, she regretfully accepted the punishment. she mentioned she wanted the caning to be executed quickly so that she could get through it sooner.
but her husband defended her, saying it was harsh n unreasonable.

The issue here is it about the girl being caned or is it about the law that governs alcohol to muslims? Because a law is simply something that is put in place within the border of a country so if you are in that country just respect those laws even if they are not your own and sound silly to you.
I know of some laws here that seem quite silly like the ban on chewing gum, getting fined for eating a lozenge on the MRT, having a 3 quarters full fuel tank to go to JB but these laws were implemented to protect certain things so no matter how distasteful it may appear it would be wise to simply obey.

governments are elected by the people, hence no matter what sometimes laws that are unreasonable are still going on because the people are unable to stop the government. sometimes regrettfully have anyone actually thought if the votes you gave towards in that particular party in the yesteryear contribute to the pain and suffering of the future of the citizens?

i posted err.. not in reference for sexual favours. its the abuse of power... i see it too many times... heard from a close friend of mine which is a tenku, meaning he is a prince of a state and told me that once this prince from another state go clubing with his entourage, saw a hot girl, wanna lay her, approach her, got rejected cos he was with her bf and his bodyguard whip out a gun at him.
the abuse and misues of power is rampant, event a witness to corruption got investigated and release and a few hrs later found dead.
