kekekekeke wow ketupat is my fav man, that's my diet for four days straight during early hari raya.
Sub, I know u are a nice guy indeed, infact old musician like us(not that old actually, I'm only 38+), don't like to see our own kind with a bad attitude. 1st thing, Selamat Eid Mubarak, Maaf Zahir dan Batin, if I offended you too, so we are (score) nil-nil(kosong-Kosong) right now.
Not that I did not want to totally patronise that shop totally, infact like i said before I ban myself from going to the Brass Basah side and luckily I met Jai at Sims Drive lately and I relate nicely with Adam regarding his customer service. I've deleted the emails already, If not I can show it to u all down here.
Yes, Swee Lee got a few old stuffs that I know of or seen since the day I patronise their shop at the old Plaza Singapura but the newer staffs they got to learn some service attitude towards customers. I got a few of bad experinced regarding their services, but well as you know some things you cant get anywhere else so like some of you all, we are Lan Lan and thats where Swee Lee got advantage of, "Don't care them(customers), they will come back no matter what" and it's really sux man.
Here's 1 incident that is very funny happening at Brass Basah side and still happening again and again even today, it was a normal weekdays and I happened to be in town to look out for some music related things, this guys were busy chatting inside, the moment I walk in suddenly all of them pretending to be busy, 2 of them action busy at the front desk computers like checking stock intake or something and 3 of them inside pretending to do some housekeeping do some action(wayang) like moving instrument to a better places. None of them even care or at least ask me what I'm trying to look for, I walk in like a gundu look around for at least about 15mins. In the end I ask a gal at 1 of the counter for some stuffs and she assign me to one of this malay guy, reluctantly with a sour face this malay guy pretending not to see me. Awkwardly I walk to him and ask, with a sour face than he ask me what did I want to look for.
I think the solution to this kind of salesman is money, Swee Lee should give them motivation like a service commission or something to get them move, that way every salesman will surely run for their customers because the more they get a customer the more commission they'll get. This ofcourse will increase business cost but in the long run = more profits because it's pass thru word of mouth to show that Swee Lee got a damn good service saleman and a damn good service quality and we will definitely come back for more often.
Yes, some of you said order online lor, yes I can do that order line, but no matter what musical instrument is not like you order a DVD online, dealers here can bring that same product here way much cheaper and I'm not that rich like some of us here easier said money is not a problem, but it's a problem to me. Furthetmore I only do online for the things that I can't get in Singapore.
Example: You go and order an Ibanez Universe UV777 online, do you all know what's the price in USA and UK or even Japan, they are double or worst UK is tripple. Unless you wanna order a rare model like a J-Custom that Swee Lee last time use to bring in but not now and I don't know why.
Maybe Sub, u can pass this msg to them at least, make them know what customers think of them, improve service and quality = more business and money.
By the way Sub where do you live?
