I saw the drum kit there, and the cymbals look like theyve been run over by a bus. Not any bus, a double decker bus full of people, then it reversed again.

But would be cool, the people say not allowed to play loud, then go on stage suddenly, people suddenly kena heart attack when we blast the whole of cathay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

kerplunk182, from the pics you posted.I'm pretty sure you are those that can chat non stop kinda bubbly girl.. haha.. i think my instinct is correct.

Gr3y: Apparantly, i talk too much:P

my band borrowed our school concert band's cymbal. Little did we know the hi hats, crash ride and snare were crappy too...
But I think we're like banned from Ben&Jerrys. I went to talk to the manager about the equipment being crappy and all cause it really affected our performance that day then he said he had some complaints about us(we didn't swear).I think it was because the genre we played wasn't very welcomed there. Anyway I don't really plan to play there. Normally bands get any ice cream they want but when we played, they said only one scoop. Where the heck was the manager that night la. Boo to Ben&Jerrys. But kudos to free cone day!:)

normally i would barge in and encourage chaos in this kind of threads but im going to let this pass and give it a "no point discussing" rating 8)

as someone has stated both sides of the subject are right. but u know many of us musicians feel troo enough to deem the norm as nonsense. we look at music differently and its apparently not a big secret. this is increasingly becoming a sort of profiling as music in its large-scale structure becomes more and more distorted in this era. there will never be another renaissance. the end is near.

ah what the hell..more eye candy = more strength to start the day = a good life. Music + naughty girls = good entertainment. well..good luck women!

Its not a good idea to blame the equipment. That only accounts for sound quality. Trust me I'm an audio engineer and ive heard all the storys and excuses in the book. unless the equipment is seriously destroyed to the point of unplayability then i agree with u.

well, poor sound quality pisses you off, leads to it affecting your mood, leads to poor concentration, leads to poor playing, leads to you getting pissed off.

crappy amp = $100 (or less)
crappy cymbals = $30?

free ice cream = priceless

the centre of the snare was like a sheet of tissue paper about to break any second and yes the hi hats, crash, crash ride looked like it got ran over by thousands of buses. Hi hats were neither closed nor open it just couldn't move. The cymbal we used was a Zildjian cymbal. Worst still, they were screening MTV behind us while we were playing. Which got me a little distracted when electrico was on. But then again, i feel that it's kinda disrespectful to do so...

It takes ALOT of confidence to actually post a picture in a majority male community target audience.

I applaud those who had come forward and i would like to encourage more girls to post their pictures with their instruments so that we can move on to uploading videos to show our skills.

One step at a time does it.

AverRal: are u a lefty? cuz the pics shows a lefty bass.. or is it the camera? please enlighten. thanks.
