recommend room amplifier budget below $300

hi Soft families ... i want to ask u all a few question ... what should i buy for a room amplifier ??? my budget is below 300 ... i had tried marshall mg15cdr and it doesnt suit me ... what brand do u all reccomend then ... i played rock music ... has anybody tried roland cube 15 or 30 ??? or maybe laney ?? or peavey ... please reccomend ... thnx

Why doesn't it suit you? Volume wise?

Or the sound doesn't come out 'nicely'?

Try getting an amp with a bigger speaker size, maybe 10" or 12". Sound's better :wink:

Don't bother with the Cube15. Save more grab a Cube30. Good beginner amp to work with.

hi there BS, i hope everyone here would be kind to you by recommending stuff which are actually available locally rather than just rattle off some stuff they fancy.

anyway, tell us why the Marshall you tried was repulsive to you.

i'd recommend the CUBE 30 for its tone & value for money considerations. CRATE's VTX15B will give the afore-mentioned cube amp a good run for its money, offering quality on-board drive & FXs:

however, you might dislike the default drive/ FX, do consider getting a decent amp to plug pedals to.

There's one on sale at luther classads. But I wonder if its sold. I'd buy it if I don't have an amp.

cube 30 is a great amp, i gave it thumbs up in my review here... (currently unavailable).

the CRATE in question looks very vintage & IMO it's the main 'put off' factor despite its good tones.

Try VOX AD30VT - slightly above $300, or AD15VT - below $300.

Good sound with built-in effects and amp models. Value for money.

my friends do have marshall mg15cdr and i cant get the tone i want ... hm... i choose finding two tone... i am searching for bluesy tone like slash ... and rock tone .. joe satriani preferably ... marshall dont give the tone i want .. also ... the sound abit breaks when put it into a higher volume
