Real deal?

so only he can warn others directly on the post itself? wouldn't this be a chance for another fraud/con case like this to happen? mr soft might not be able to mod the post in time before the deal takes place. in fact, in my case, the deal only took 4 days, and up till now, there has been no warning on the selling advert post.

to the buyer: has it ever occured that the deal is too good to be true? i guess this serves as a lesson for greed.

Based on wildchild's previous response to this thread, i'm sure he'll be willing to help out anyway. Let's just wait for his reply before jumping to any conclusions.

+1,understand what makes a gibson when u get a gibson

plus in this public forum, u cant expect ideal cases, during the meeting with him, u should have clarify with the seller before anything proceed right? or u are too high until forget everything

Yes, same goes again. I've no idea why now.
For those who have deal anything with me before, I have to say no problems since when I'm a member in here. Serious.
This is the first time I'm helping a friend since I'm a member of softies, therefore I've been told to post of what I've been told to post. I can't say why don't you post it youself and post what's the price. I'm not the person who decides but just the tool to post, its like helping my mum to beat the eggs but doesn't know what is she cooking.
Try to contact her and as I've been told, it's her brother's guitar?
Did she tell anything?

So you are saying that you will push "illegal" stuff if you "choose" to ignore what it really is ...just to please your friend "who told you so"??

Cut the crap....get real kid!

I only posted on behalf of my friend. I'm not the user or owner of the guitar. I have not even seen the guitar myself and have no idea if its fake or authentic and to be more specific, I have no knowledge about gibson guitars differences. I didn't ask anything thus I just posted it online and already stated to refer and ask the number I have posted.
Ergh!, I'm just helping out, not I'm the one selling it.
Get the facts right:)

that thread, the one selling the "fake" es335. did anyone report that thread to the mods?

i rmb soft sorta questioned the guy selling that ibanez jem. if someone did, mr soft could have like posted on the thread to warn others or something. cos ppl who dont use soft do not go around surfing and they probably wouldnt see this thread before making their purchase.

yup. i did report the post when there was only 3 views on the post.

IF YOU POST YOU ARE THE SELLER NOT YOUR "IMAGINARY FRIEND"

WHY SELL SOMETHING YOU GOT NO FREAKIN IDEA OF WHAT IT IS ????

goose does make a point there. If someone ask me to sell, say a LV @ $50, I will be smell something fishy about it because people all know that LV brand isn't cheap. Same goes for Gibson.

It don't require a lot of guitar knowledge to know that a Gibson guitar couldn't possibly be that cheap unless it is really beaten up for 20 or more years and the neck crack, body chip or electronics corroded. Ignorance is definitely not an excuse.

When you sell something, you need to at least find out the condition of the guitar and if it is workable, playable, where your friend got it from etc.

If I help a friend to sell u a fake China iPhone @ a steal price (not telling you it is a fake) and later u found out it is not the "Real Deal" (pun intended), would you be ready to demand for a refund? I guess you would. So I hope you can understand how the buyer of your "friend's" guitar might have felt.

Period.

^ lol i'd pay more to get a beaten up 20 year old gibson with cracks anyday.

that aside, yea, you should use your brain before you post.
has it ever crossed your mind that 700 for a gibson is suspicious?
has it ever crossed your mind you may be selling a fake?
has it ever crossed your mind that people who dont know their stuff may end up buying a fake?
has it ever crossed your mind the magnitude of your actions if you sold fake stuff?( lol..)

but yea, i dont believe that you posted the thread without a doubt of the authenticity of the guitar

I pmed subversion. dunno if he got my message.

heres an idea TS, how bout since youre the middle man or claims to be, you still posted the thread. So why not get your friend to contact the seller.

Since he bought the guitar from you and you know that lady personally why not contact her to contact him? Make sure she does it. Dont just let her tell you yea ok ill do it.

And yes i have to agree that you dont find anything suspicious when someone sells a gibson for $700?

$700 wont get you an epiphone custom or a gibson lp Jr.

at the end of the day, BOTH THE BUYER AND THE SELLER ARE MORONS. i dont see the need for me to explain this statement i just said.

my 2 cents

Why would you Ryan transfer 100% of the money thru transaction without even see the thing deliver to you?

Isn't it standard COD terms in soft.. this is not ebay..

WHY SELL SOMETHING YOU GOT NO FREAKIN IDEA OF WHAT IT IS ????

Why is it not plausible for him to actually be doing a favour for his friends? I mean if his friend asks a favour of him, why not? You saying he will push illegals thing, is a different matter entirely. Obviously, no one is naive enough to do so. In this case, with the object being a fake gibson guitar, i see no harm in his actions. Anyone stupid enough to buy believing it is a real guitar without verifying its authenticity, deserves to have a lesson learnt. As far as I can see, there are only 3 groups he can implicate.
1) People who do not know a single thing about gibsons
2) People who are doubtful and bother to authenticate and verify.
3) People who immediately are able to determine it being a counterfeit.

And i do see your point, of him having the responsibility to know what he is selling. But in my opinion, he's just doing a favour for his friend. Nothing wrong, and he doesnt deserve being called a moron. Judging from your reputation in SOFT, i guess you are at least a few years older than the seller, and a few years ( if not more ) wiser.

For the skeptical who believe he is making up stories. I dont see a motive or a reason to do so. For those who see a motive or reason, please do enlighten.

The only motive/reason I can think of is that he want to make a quick buck and move away. Yet again, if he wanted to do that why didn't he set up a fake account, sell the thing, then de-activate the account/MIA?

exactly, if he were out to cheat, why do so at the risk of his name? let this be a lesson learnt for him to verify what he is selling, but there is no need to call names.

Bro, chill ah. People make mistakes. It's not like this is a standard procedure for Wildchild by helping to sell his friend's products all the time. It's the first time he did something like this. And Wildchild only advertised the guitar. He didn't deal it so he didn't even get a chance to look at the guitar. The guy's a friend of mine since secondary school and one thing's for sure, he's not some scammer. So I don't see the need for you to lash out like that for something that has already happened

Thx man, since you understand my views. I have no nuts about gibson and so far in my life as a guitarist, I have not even use a gibson guitar before what's more I know about them. One thing if I were to make up stories, why would I keep replying to this thread, stating the same thing of what people get the wrong ideas. And what's the point of me making up stories since the guitar itself isnt mine. I rather have my OWN GUITAR practice rather than making stories up.
Yet again, for what reasons I want to make a quick buck since I don't own it and not the seller, I'm just the advert. Furthermore to theliverevolution, yes, if I were to do that, I would just be gone MIA,but here, I'm replying!
