Real deal?

Wah wah wah let's not blow this out of proportion man.
Ryanfonts, I know you're probably panicking over this but give both parties some time to react accordingly. You barely even gave them an hour to reply, then start using the police.

If they still don't reply after a few days, then go to the police if you want to. But Wildchild has been trying to accomidate the many arrows shot at him, so don't keep arrowing him. I beleive his story that he also knows little about this till the TS started pointing it out, and he is trying to solve the matters.

Anyway, this also brings about the point of whether the seller knew about it was a "fake" (giving benefit to the doubt that its some obsecure, unknown model).
If the seller was also scammed previously, well, you can't really blame her entirely for it either anyway.

Apart from the guitar, what else came with it? Hardcase? Certificate? Etc?
Only thing that can explain the item, well, is the ES-359. That's the CLOSEST to the guitar in question.
By the way, upload some better pictures of the guitar and the accessories it came with. Then let us scrutinize it better. Perhaps a better judgment can be made then

it doesn't matter who i bought it for, the transaction has taken place and is a scam and fraud.

anyone knows about wildchild666 and has any dealings with him before?

ryanfonts, i feel for you lah bro, damn unlucky. but tbh u should have checked if it was authentic first, so many sites online warning ppl abt fake gibbies. $700 for an ES-335, extremely hard to believe. as someone has mentioned, if its too good to be true, it probably is.
anw, wildchild666, u also damn suay, help others out, but got yourself entangled in this mess. well, at least you stood forward to address this matter.

I repeat my question:
What else came with the guitar? Surely the certificate would have come with it

Sidenote:
Is it possible that the bridge be replaced for the ES series? Cause if its yes, I found a guitar QUITE similiar to the one in question:

Well, the first image looks astoundingly like the guitar in question. Possible that the seller was mistaken?

dude i know its quite a substantial amount of money, but do give a leeway out for the other guy man, please give him some time to rectify the matter and sort out everything. and on your part, you should have checked the guitar out first man, a gibby=700$ ? ._.

Ryan i know you are upset about this and ur sis must be even more so.

This very thread was started to prevent anyone from falling prey to the seller which in this case unfortunately ur sis has become the prey.

I wish u the best in clearing this mess up but let a lesson be drawn from this : There are many clowns out there waiting to make a quick buck before doing their vanishing act. Whats important here is to do research before buying anything for that matter.

If you compare this guitar to a real gibson you will realise this piece is obviously a counterfeit.

The piece your sis has bought has a diamond logo below the Gibson word am i right? The diamond logo is wrongly printed as compared to Gibson's original. Thus making it a counterfeit.

I truly doubt that any gibson es335 would go for such a price of $700. In fact i dont even think 3x700 can buy a 2nd hand es335.

As the others have pointed out the pickguard is wrong yada yada..

ALWAYS ALWAYS REMEMBER to do research before buying anything. THis goes for pedals, guitars etc. This will allow you to know : What you are buying, and whether u are buying something genuine, whether you are getting ripped off, etc etc.

There are benefits to research. And some very costly consequences for not doing so.

That being said. Best wishes friend.

Theliverevolution:

Bro there is no need for a cert to verify anything because that gibson so called is obviously a fake.

Even if there was a cert it would be a non gibson certified piece of paper.

Look at the contrasting headstock on the picture link provided. This 'gibson' ryan has bought has a similar diamond logo as shown in the counterfeit picture on gibsons web.

ryan,

the reply button's departure... *sighs* all this could have been avoided.

that thread, the one selling the "fake" es335. did anyone report that thread to the mods?

i rmb soft sorta questioned the guy selling that ibanez jem. if someone did, mr soft could have like posted on the thread to warn others or something. cos ppl who dont use soft do not go around surfing and they probably wouldnt see this thread before making their purchase.
