When a band is big, sure got ppl who like them, and ppl who hate...
Warlord, if you play in a band too and post such remarks, I pity your band lor... that shows how mature u are...Curse ppl also got to give a reason mah.. especially in public forum. Otherwise, it's just like school kids going around cursing everythin in their life 'sucks' without really knowing the reasons.. wanna share your experience with us? :)

I'm no fan of theirs if u were to ask. But I always believe that before we say anything, we think. ;) We have to be responsible for what we say mah.. korrect? Don just say for the sake of saying it.. cos it will leave ppl wondering if u are just been sour or too free lor.. korrect? korrect? Don get me wrong hor.. i got nothin against u.. :P
Just sharing my 2cents worth. U can ignore me if u think i don make sense. ;) korrect? korrect?

Maybe that's their newer management. So far, nothing bad was heard about them.

actually im just wondering.. why need to say such remarks about pug jelly as
shitheads.. do u know them personally the-warlord? let say u know them personally and they are some real badass.. all right u can say that about them.. but if its just becuz they are playing pop punk..and u dont like their kinda music/genre.. i find it abit sour leh.. :P

even if i dont like certain genre.. i would not diss them.. at most i close my ear wif my hands and walk away loh..

sorry people but sometimes i got the feeling that those 'better players' are pissed off with pug jelly simply cuz they are sour.. cant take it that a genre with not 'challenging' enuff music and not skilled enuff can hit it big rather than them :roll:
 
hmmm let me put it this way...

u're in a band which has overcome obstacles over the year... from finding the 'perfect' bandmember to finding a first solo gig opportunity... u practise 6 hrs the day and are known to be the top 3 in any music competition... but yet, u still have yet to catch ur 'big break'...

then u see a 'local' band comprising 3 good-looking caucasian and 1 jap expats who can onli make songs comprising of 4 power chords and lacking of a decent solo make it on mtv, going international and being hailed as the 'pioneer rock band' of s'pore...

its not so much of a genre battle, its more of a grave injustice to the bands here who have stuck together through these times uncertainty and stereotypical labelling, and have weathered the storms caused by an ever-shifting music industry...
 
There's no such thing as injustice lor. You don't have the X-Factor then forget it. So what if you can play a solo better than Steve Vai? You may look like a nerd and nobody likes you. So stop blaming others for their success and your failure on them. Sour grapes. :roll:

hey... WAKE UP... since when was music about looking good? its ppl like YOU who cause the mess the music industry is in today... 'looks before talent' my ass... look at slash... he looks half-roach but yet he's hailed as a rock n roll god... not because of his looks but of his talent with the guitar... and michael angelo isn't exactly mr manhunt or anything yet ppl love him for his talent...

and for the record no ones blaming pug... as far as we're concerned we're jus voicing our opinion... if u dun like it then u're jus another communist pig... the fact is tat we're jus unhappy that as far as the music industry goes, the media onli cares about looks more than talent, tat u have to LOOK rock before u're considered to be a rocker... music was meant to entertain the masses, not a bunch of self-centred narcissisists...

next time, clear the manure from ur ears before u start firing shit from ur mouth like its national day...
 
I say you clear the manure from yourself. I didn't say it was about looks. The X-factor isn't about looks either. It's the package. :roll:
 
Just an example. The "package". You have the skills but no looks, no charisma, no nothing. Then cannot lor. Got looks, got charisma, but no skills also cannot what. Simple hard facts. What's there to get worked up for?

Ahhh... a good old misunderstanding. No problems, good to see we can handle a good old civilised argument.

To state a few examples, John Petrucci. Brilliant music, crazy technics. But the way he plays at a concert rooted to a spot on the stage bores some. :lol:
 
Come to think about it, Pug Jelly do suck at pop-punk [a genre I like]. I ripped my friend's cd and I could only stand like two tracks or something.
Throw them any punk/pop-punk/emo band from america (grrr too many sub genres) and they'll lose hands down. :lol:
 
i think people should draw aline between commercialised music and 'music'.....

big bands.. signed to companies are selling the image.. not music actualli.. just some typical radio friendly tune..
