Evergrey has some pretty good albums.

They also got a series of videos focusing on their goofing around in the studio. I think it shows how technical they can be.

I like their formula... atmospheric changes, tempo changes, ridiculously heavy yet sorta-simple riffing and that use of vocals...

And they sound very good with their caparisons + engl amps.

I've always loved Evergrey's guitar tone. Pity Caparisons don't usually come with hardtail bridges.

A really creative band, I find that few of their songs sound the same.

On a serious note, I always felt that The Beatles and Led Zeppelin were progressive bands. They were way ahead of their contemporaries and copycats. Even today, their music stands apart. COOL!
