Progheads unite!!!

Evergrey has some pretty good albums.

They also got a series of videos focusing on their goofing around in the studio. I think it shows how technical they can be.

I like their formula... atmospheric changes, tempo changes, ridiculously heavy yet sorta-simple riffing and that use of vocals...

And they sound very good with their caparisons + engl amps.

I've always loved Evergrey's guitar tone. Pity Caparisons don't usually come with hardtail bridges.

A really creative band, I find that few of their songs sound the same.

Sorry... I forgot to mention... I got these too. I'm looking for NEW acts...

And LTE, Planet X and Platypus were already covered in my 2000 expose into Prog Rock...

So, it's Opeth and Muse that's worth checking out? How about Iced Earth? Anyone?

Please check out Opeth. I believe you wont regret. For their heaviest, check out Blackwater Park & Deliverance & Ghost Reveries & My Arms, Your Hearse. For mellower, Still Life, Damnation.

Also check out Blackfield. Its a project with Porcupine Tree's Steven Wilson & an Isreali musician. Nice!!!!!!
